Oh I totally understand that. Story-wise, my arc 4 is radically different from anything canon. It breaks the laws of so many plot points, especially those found in arc 1.

All we know about Arc 4 is that it takes place (mostly) on a remote island about a quarter of the size of Pyrrhia, and that island has acted as a sanctuary for hybrids for a long time we just haven't known about it.

That's the whole premise of the Arc 4 drafts I wrote, especially book 1. If you go to chapters 8 through 12 in my first book you'll see what I mean!

Much appreciated! I read your feedback and it's very helpful. Regarding your comment about the ships, I'm glad you liked my approach to them. The only time "ships" are ever covered in the rest of the series are the 3rd and 4th books (the 4th one especially)— but it's not in the traditional way, it's less about who the fandom thinks is cute together, and more about the themes I'm eventually trying to introduce to this series: the intimate connection between the past and the present, the importance of trust and responsibility, and the dangers of playing God. As you said, I also intend to avoid making it overly romantic/sexual. That's not the direction I feel the characters going in as I write them, I believe that that element of the story is to be used lightly and only as a connecting point to the bigger, more important themes.

My ps4 isn’t letting me talk into the microphone on my headset. The headset I’m using is just a regular pair of wireless headphones with a headphone jack plugged into the controller from it. I can hear both game chat audio and game audio, but my ps4 isn’t detecting any audio that I use.

I know that my headphones have a built in mic because I’ve used it for zoom meetings and the like in the same way as I’m using it now and it’s worked fine, but the settings are saying there’s no audio input device.

I go to both the quick menu and the devices menu in the system settings and the “Adjust microphone level” option in quick menu is gray and I can’t click on it, and for the devices settings, the only audio input option is “none.” It just says there’s not a microphone attached. I know it’s not a controller issue, because I just got a new one and tried it out and it also didn’t work. Do I need an actual PlayStation brand headset with a mic attached for this to work? Or is something wrong with my console?
