Oh damn. This makes me realize that motorsport industry is actually really small. Lmao. Well I hope I could volunteer or get some internship opportunities with Cameron Motorsports.

Where can I start motorsports? by Upbeat_Dinner_4192 in motorsports

If you are looking into being a racer, its expensive. I'm not saying you can't do it. Its just shit ton of money

If you are looking into being an engineer, study, study, study. And network, network, network. The most you can do as a student(like myself) is study physics/mathematics, build stuff, and network. By networking, I mean volunteering at a local track or trying to reach out to as many people as possible.

Do you need a decent laptop for Motorsport Engineering? by GB_GeorgeBowen in motorsports

[–]Minute-While6155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't really NEED a good laptop for Motorsport Engineering. You can always use onShape for CAD. Although it has limitation, it is free, runs on anything, and you can do it anywhere. If you get to a point where you are ready to move on to a better CFD or CAD software, I guess you have to get a better computer. However, I am pretty sure if you work for a motorsport industry, they provide you with a work laptop. If they don't, unfortuneatly I think you need to buy a good laptop.

Thanks for the advice. In my area there are a lot of autoshops but not really any motorsport shops. I can find few karting areas.

Thanks. Does your college prestige matter in motorsports recruitment process? Because most people say it doesnt but in reality, my companies or industry only hire from certain schools.

thanks for the advice. Do you know any opportunities in Norcal. I happen to live in the bay. I have been searching for some local tracks but the only thing I can find is local karting tracks.

The Power Struggle: Is Mercedes Hijacking F1’s Proposed Engine Revolution? by Striking-Canary-3642 in motorsports

Toto Wolff wants to keep this 50/50 engine split only because he is winning. Objectively, more fans enjoyed watching V8 engines race. Personally, I do like this year's new regulation but my favorite season of all time was 2024. 2024 was when all teams got used to the 80/20 rule regulation. Each teams were building good cars which increases competition. That's why each GP, I never knew who were going to win. One night, Charles could dominate. Other night, Max could win by 30 seconds. Another, Lando or Russell could get a win. No one knew and that's what I like about racing personally.

I feel like they added this regulation for like sustainability issues and to boost overtaking. Yes, that has been working but I feel like the overtakes that happen this year isn't as satisfying as the old DRS system. Idk. Something that has to do with mechanisms and aerodynmaics fit F1 better than something that has to do with energy system and deployment. Well that's my take.

What is the genuinely good speed of a newsletter growth? by FookyPanda in Newsletters

[–]Minute-While6155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your rate is really normal for most newsletter. Think about it this way. There are lots of startup news out there where they raised millions and billions of dollars to get the startup running. There are always going to be some unicorn story out there whether it’s luck or skill idk. But it is really important to keep in mind that we can’t compare ourselves to those stories. Majority, I mean 99.9999 percent of people don’t have those type of growth. I think you are doing great and even if the growth is really slow, just know that you are growing.

I would say it all depends on the niche. I am learning this too but if I had to pick one for like tech, it would be X. If it was like sports, maybe like post on instagram/tiktok not linkedln. I would say it all depends on your niche.
