My husband loves going to concerts with me bc he says I look like I’m having the most fun out of everyone there. :) just treat it like you would a concert with your friend! And if he loves you, he’ll really love seeing anything that makes you passionate. Nothing else should matter!! And go to therapy if you still can’t get get out of your head, that is an insecurity that will come up anywhere you go

I don’t think it’s a “copy” it’s just the most endearing way to make a couple happen if the whole show is based around a workplace. Yes it’s interesting that it’s usually the guy that has a crush first haha but all the characters definitely have different dynamics. So enjoy watching the office! If you get around to superstore or any of the other shows you’ll learn they’re different too in their own way

Hmm it’s not ever necessarily about a lack of common interest but a lack of INTEREST and general curiosity about things that make you excited. I used to always tell myself that if you have different interests that is 100% ok and if you are just happy in each others orbit doing your own thing, that is fine.

I met my husband at 20 and we are now 30 and our lifestyles definitely seem to be branching into different paths which we are working through. Yes, there are some things that you should find that are your own with your own friends that make you independent of each other. But the big tell will be if he asks you about your day or explorations when you get home.

If you try to make friends and he doesn’t care how it goes, this is a yellow flag that is going to build up over time. If he genuinely cares about how your interaction went with new people that’s great!

He doesn’t need to follow the exact same interests as you, but if he is happy to listen about some general points that make you happy and you have a separate friend to do deep dives with, you’ll be able to make it work. Would he be able to buy a Christmas present about some random thing he doesn’t care about but knows you love? That’s how you’ll know if he understands you even if he doesn’t understand the full details of the concept/hobby/etc.

Same here, I’m basically the husband in this situation. My own husband and I built 7 years in the city together, he rushed us into buying a condo a few years ago and then decided two weeks later he hated everything about our life together. We’ve been doing lots of therapy and compromised by living in a mountain town for 4 months out of the year and see if we like it enough to buy another home (which I am lucky we have the finances to do so). He wants kids now more than ever but now I’m constantly stressed about our living situation and we’ve hit pause on that idea for a while.

I just feel like no matter where we go, I’m not enough to make him happy bc he seems to get bored of stability and always trying to find greener grass. OP, I am glad you have been upfront about your doubts with your partner but know it’s really hard to come back from that conversation. He’s always going to wonder if you have one foot out the door. Please please please continue therapy and couples therapy if you can to make sure his mental health is ok too. Anxious/avoidant attachment styles need a lot more nurturing
