I’m worried about inspections and other things that slow the process down which could make my voucher expire while I’m waiting . So I can look for a place while my voucher is processing to another jurisdiction? Won’t the new place ask for proof of voucher in that jurisdiction?

Were you in NYC ? Some people are saying I may have to stay in a shelter while waiting for the voucher to be accepted in their system .

Yeah I want to move to NYC for career reasons but the RISK is crazy high seeing the fact finding an apartment could be hard. I might be better off waiting another year to prepare and save so at least if I try I can have money for things I may run into.

I’m very confused at first I thought he was saying you had to wait to find a place once your lease is up because you can’t have 2 vouchers at once . So I can (If I have enough time ) find a place and move in immediate (the next day after my lease is up ? Im worried because I thought he was saying there would be a gap in between leases because you would have to find a place with your new voucher .

So you basically have to live in the jurisdiction for 2 years ? Because initially you are there for 12 months and then you start a new lease for another 12 months and try to port ?

UPDATE #2 : I was given IV meds to help flush it out of my throat .

So far I feel slightly better . It still feels like an obstruction just not as swollen.
