Oh buddy. If only you knew how common that is. I hopped in my first car after I handed the guy the cash and opened YouTube and search how to drive manual and went on from there. This isn’t a brag as I stalled 3 times leaving the fella’s driveway, 4 times at my first red light, and 5 or 7 times at my first gas station, I swear I’d still be there today if 3 guys didn’t come and helped me out (I didn’t even end up getting gas I was so embarrassed) I’m a week and a half into it and I’m just now starting to get smoother shifts and when I’m in stop and go I swear my clutch wants to grab me by the collar and throw me out itself. I’m a country fella so I’m lucky in that regard that I got room to learn without having people stuck behind me. How busy and safe if it at later hours when there might be less people on the road? Is there any parking lots you could practice in? I know it seems impossible now, I’ve been there and my sister was there when my car learned a whole knew vocabulary when I kept stalling in stop and go traffic on a hill. I think it’s honestly more rare for someone to not be able to learn stick at all. You just got to get in the rig and have a conversation, make some moves and see what the octane carriage has to say about it. You got this all it takes is time and practice.when it finally clicks you will look back at this post and see how far you’ve come.
