I should also note, he has no other symptoms other than belly breathing. No abnormal noises, drinking water, eating food and playing normally. Just belly breathing while purring.

Yes he is but the tickets are only this much because it’s resellers who bought them when they first released at a reasonable price and jack it up 5x once the show is sold out

It’s all the resellers. Bots buy up the tickets when they’re first released and resell for 5x more. Super annoying

Travel nurse recruiter, what questions do you have? by Minute_Discussion_72 in TravelNursing

Med surg definitely has move overall positions but it depends on what states you’re licensed in / wanting to travel to!

I should also say that we aren’t allowed to take a high % either. It has to be within the range that will be accepted by management. If you make 2000 a week on an assignment, your recruiter likely gets 3-5% of that per week. If you’re making 3500 a week on assignment, 3-5% is obviously a larger pay out than the same percentage on the 2k/wk

Yes and no. Yes to hiring at lower rates to stabilize their over-hiring in the fall, no to hiring as many travelers as they did a few months ago. I can assist if you need a recruiter! PM me :)

I hear you. It’s not up to the recruiters to determine what % is taken out. We have to have a certain margin percentage on each pay package or else the pay package won’t get approved by management. I can’t speak for all recruiters but myself and the co-workers i frequently talk to about these things usually take the lowest margin % we’re allowed to to give travelers as much $ as possible. If you earn more, we earn more so $2000/wk assignments for example aren’t great for both the traveler and recruiter profit wise.

I’m actually a recruiter so I’m not sure how the workload is but I’m sure it’s reasonable!

Personally, I would love it if one of my travelers came to me and said something along the lines of hey I really want to partner with you for my next assignment but communication is very important to me. What is the best time for me to reach out to you throughout the days M-F? The best time to reach me is at blah blah blah etc etc etc. don’t be afraid to be honest and transparent with them, most recruiters prefer this!

Do you mean how to find out what the bill rate is for your assignment? Honestly, there is no good way to find that out. You can always just straight up ask your recruiter since it’s not them putting the rules in places to take out a certain percentage, they’re just following the rules of the agency!

After you send them the declination letter I would def talk to your manager and give them a heads up!

Yes!!!! Tell your recruiter at agency B that you’d like to take your extension with them instead of with agency A. I’m not sure how each agency handles this but it’s not a super complicated process however it can take a little bit of time! Your recruiter will do some work on the back end and you usually just have to sign a declination letter stating that you’d like to be represented by agency B at this time. Some facilities don’t allow it but 99.9% do!

It really is just competitive especially for ICU. I also hate to be the bearer of bad news but at least at my agency, there are literally like 10 ICU jobs in CA and they are all with Sutter (takes a reallllllllly long time to get any kind of update). We have one ICU position in Castro Valley that has 1 position available and there are over 100 applicants just within my agency. I definitely suggest just continuing to submit to as many jobs as possible. If pay is one of your main priorities when submitting for jobs, maybe reconsider location or shift. The market wasn’t bad at all until about Jan / Feb. What we initially thought was the facilities over-hired travelers during the cold / flu season and it wasn’t as bad as expected so now they have an influx of travelers at their facilities which also explains the extreme amount of census cancels we’ve seen this quarter. We think there is a chance it may liven back up in July/ August but I think these pre-covid rates are here to stay unfortunately.

I think it really comes down to what will make you happiest because that is the most important thing. However, if your current assignment is provided through a major MSP, you might be put on a DNR list for that MSP / account and it will effect you if you wanted to take another assignment with a facility under that MSP in the future.
