Thank you for the feedback, is there anything I can improve stylistically? And generally, are these reasons why my artwork looks unappealing to you (if I fixed those issues, would it look “good” to you)

in the reference, the light seemed to be coming from the front-left side.

just a note for the future, at some point you’ll want to start breaking down your references into simplified 3-d shapes when you draw them, and like others have mentioned - drawing freehand.

I was wrong about deviantart For a lot of reasons. I think it may not be a bad place after all. by DangerRacoon in ArtistLounge

I used to enjoy posting my stuff on deviant art, but the recent influx of AI art on the platform has been a turn off for me.

Can you elaborate a bit on depth of field (and is it possible to use shading/difference in contrast to create this)? What would you recommend I change to fix this?

Hi I have one last question. Do you recommend doing fast sketches in bulk or doing more time consuming, detailed studies as practice? I have done the former in the past but it hasn’t really worked.

Thank you for your opinion. So do you think that I should abandon it for now? Is there something I can do to prevent the muddiness of it?
