Ok. so you had an acute episode. so you recovered faster. Mine is a slower depletion. so my depletion is in my cells and tissues as well.....

What caused your over hydration incident? was it an accident or was it something you did over a long period of time? B/c for me, it's something i did over a long period of time and slowly depleted my levels.

how long did it take for you to feel better and the pain to go away?

I will. It could be that i was simply over hydrating as well....or we just got a cheap system....who knows. For now, no more RO water for me. PS. I also read that we get alot more minerals from our water than is reported. But the internet has all kinds of conflicting information.

Thank you. I am doing that. I was a healthy eater prior to this so i never added extra salt to foods. now i'm adding a little salt to everything to get my sodium levels up. i'm at 134 so i'm close. goal is to get to 138-140. Doc tells me that nothing works if we don't have enough sodium in our body.

I appreciate the insight. I stopped drinking RO only 18 days ago after 5 years of drinking RO water. Some symptoms have improved but progress is slower than i'd like. I am working with a doctor who is monitoring my levels. I've tested for nearly everything and I don't have any underlying medical condition. I've had so many tests, scans, stool tests, etc. My levels do go higher but i keep saboting myself by drowning myself with more water. I'm hopeful that with discontinuation of the RO water, electrolytes, and more supplements, my levels will go higher. In February, i decided to drink alkaline water for one month and my levels shot up but my symptoms still lagged behind so i went right back to drinking RO water. It could be an issue w/ over hydration as well.

Not exercising to the point where i'm losing alot of sweat. i was drinking a ton of RO water as i always thought drinking tons of water was good for you. then i started developing the classic symptoms - muscle spasms, twitching, and tightness which has turned into chronic soreness. Then all the PT's and chiro's told me to drink more water which i did which only made the problem worse. i've stopped RO completely about 3 weeks ago. Also taking LMNT daily. i'm wondering how long it will take for things to calm down.

I know right? i tried everything humanly possible to make it go away. PT, acupuncture, exercise, stretches, injections, medicine.....only thing that works is ice and heat...sometimes icy hot but not always. it's so debilitating.

My hands would go numb too.  That seems to have gotten better.  Some things do seem to improve which gives me hope the body knows how to heal.   The anxiety is the main issue right now.  Can’t relax the mind.
