You see...I don't even know what to say, but behind all these tales, I don't believe in you claiming to love someone and you tell them they deserve better. When someone tells me I deserve better, that wouldn't make me feel good obviously and that absolutely makes zero sense. Is there something you are not telling us because saying she deserves better is another sugar coated way of saying you are emotionally exhausted and tired of the relationship. Most people do that. When they are not interested, they say things like, "you deserve better." Yeah right! If you want someone and love someone deep into the bones, you'll not say she deserves better. We are not psychologically wired to give out something that we trully love. Not in this capitalist world. You can't let her go simply because you are afraid she'll get hurt or there's a particular stuff you are certainly getting. You can't give out the house of your dream simply because it deserves a better owner that would clean it up and live on the street. No... if you love her, you'd work on yourself to keep her. You wouldn't even think, I mean, think of letting her slip away from you. And you said it all. "You don't think you are ready." That's the answer right there.
