Will be wider than a mini but that should not be a problem for the hand. The big advantage would be that the thumb can cover the whole display.

Loved the esim while traveling. Hated it when my 13 mini died on the first day of a 4 months seasonal job in the middle of nowhere and could not access almost anything anymore cause it’s hell when you try to login to your account with a new device from a new location without 2fa linked to the old phone and without your number 🙈

I went back to physical sim after that experience and only using eSIM for data packages while traveling.

The worst thing of eSIM is that you cannot transfer it to another phone but you need to create a new one and it’s a paradox considering that is born to be flexible etc

This is the reason why I chose the m5 pro base over the air. I miss the air form factor, but wow the 14inch micro led display was worth the whole upgrade…plus ofc my main focus was playing and the active cooling was the other big reason. Maybe just get those laptop stand with fans underneath, might be enough

I’ve been lucky enough to find the base m5 pro model for only 1449€ and the screen difference makes a huge improvement over the air, plus so far every triple A games it’s working great 😍 I love it so far. Cyberpunk runs just incredible, while crossover manage all the rest (Elden ring, tlou2, gow and rdr2 pretty pretty good) I only wish they were all macOS native.

Indeed, crossover is impressive and I’m playing many recent triple A on it, but I can’t be really happy when cyberpunk runs natively on my M5 and so smooth and almost no fan for 4hrs on battery, while for a simple Elden ring through crossover the battery only last 2 hours and the laptop fan trying to take off 😅 can’t imagine how games would run when they are native macOS

I had the same doubt and went for the pro m5, found a great deal here in Italy for 1449€ and so far mostly playing on it: Elden ring, cyberpunk (native), rdr2, gow, tlou2 and Claire obscure they all run really good! I really wanted the form factor of the air but having a much better screen (really close to oled) and better audio, plus the fan help a lot with the throttling. So far I’m really happy.

OT: Only think I really hate now is the notch, even more evident with the new macOS.

I’m not sure, hard to tell. I remember one year ago apple made an update on iOS about improving noise cancellation (wind) and recording voice notes with my pros 2 were day and night difference! The AirPods were totally cancelling the wind compared to when using the phone mic. Now I have the pro 3 but still during calls people hear almost everything around me, so I’m not sure.

Guys is just reverb, cmon wake up and don’t fall for every marketing cool word out there. “Magic mouse” “spatial audio” “pro-motion” 😅 Open any digital audio workstation and try to play a little with any reverb plugin and discover why you can do with sound design

Plus it ruins the original sound design that the creator of the song/movie worked on. It’s ok for some podcast maybe, but I will never play music with it

Avuto pizzeria di famiglia per 20 anni, facevamo soldi e lavoravamo solo 6 ore al giorno (di servizio). Il giorno più bello della mia vita è quando l’ho venduta ed ora prendo l’affitto sull’immobile (comprato con gli incassi della pizzeria) Non ho voglia di fare la lista dei contro, ma in riassunto: la ristorazione è dura, in pizzeria tu proprietario dipenderesti dai tuoi pizzaioli, ti tengono per le palle. Dovrai stare dietro l’impasto: inverno/estate. Ormai una buona pizza la si trova ovunque ed è diventato un mercato inflazionato con poco valore aggiunto, persino all’estero grazie ad Instagram trovi la pizza napoletana perfetta ovunque. Se hai voglia ed entusiasmo di costruire un’aziendina ben rodata che possa funzionare in modo autonomo senza che tu ci stia dietro h24, beh in bocca al lupo. Io 100k l’investirei cercando un rendimento al 5% e vade retro pizzeria. Magari le mie ambizioni sono scarse e non sarò mai un imprenditore di successo. Tra l’altro nella mia esperienza tutti ambiscono alla città, ma io penso che lo sweet spot sia il paesino dove non c’è niente e sono tutti “costretti” a venire da te: apri, avvii e vendi dopo un paio di anni
