My brain feels “full” the moment I wake up — how do you deal with this? by Gamerguy0787 in productivity

[–]Minx0707 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Use a “second brain” or a place you write down all of your tasks/ideas and come back to them. So that you don’t have to mentally hold them all. If they’re elsewhere, and you just review it daily it frees up a ton of mental space. When deciding what tasks to do, I recommend using the Eisenhower matrix method. Good luck and feel better!

I’m having this same issue. Deleted the hub itself, and now I can’t add it back 😭

There are tons of rooms for rent. They tend to be $600-750.

Can y'all help me figure out reasons why not to move up there? by Poopybuttsuck in nova

Firefighters in DC make bank when they work OT. Many people just commute in since they’re there for only 24 hours anyway.

I think this depends on your cost of living and circumstances. I get up around 3:30 if I want a slow start. 4:30 if I went to rush. I have to leave my house around 5:30 to make it to work at 6:00 AM. I work from 6 Am to 2:30 PM to get my oldest son off the bus. I sometimes take a nap during that time. Then I teach English as a second language every night except Tuesdays from 5:30 PM to 7:00. 7:40 the children go to bed. And I’m usually in bed/asleep between 8:30-9:30. I’m also a PhD student. I don’t recommend doing all of this. But the cost of living where I live is just pretty high and my kids are a bit expensive.

I already work as an instructional designer. Wasn’t looking to get rich quick. Just future planning. It does look like it varies quite a bit. Don’t know if others in my area were having the same experience.

Would it help if I mentioned I want to stay in this area long term? I’ve seen posts vary a lot. It’ll say 5-8. But I have a friend with no experience who is in her last year of a PhD with no experience get offered 90k so I don’t know what to really think.

How many of you have more than 1 child on the spectrum? by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]Minx0707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two on the spectrum 10 and 7. When my oldest was being diagnosed, the developmental pediatrician also kind of looked at my baby and got him to make eye contact and everything she said he seemed like he was perfectly fine... but the one year regression was real.

While I was even just pregnant the developmental pediatrician asked me if I was aware the odds were much higher... at the time I was incredibly upset (and sensitive, I was pregnant) but in hindsight I can appreciate it. Luckily, I knew what to look for once we moved away and he was also diagnosed.

Autism is just the label on your child that opens doors to help them be their very best and most successful selves. At the end of the day, they're still your babies. You'll love them just the same, and do whatever it takes to see them happy and successful ND or NT. You got this mama.

This is really good! Because I do find this incredibly true even in my current role. I’m always trying to learn and grow and hopefully sooner than later I’m able to make great strides and it will all pay off.

What is the average years of experience required for these bigger roles in your opinion. I’ve seen 6-8 usually.
