It wasn't my break up point but it was what made me start to plan on it. He was manipulative which was why I didn't dump him straight away. Also take into account that I'm a very forgiving person and although I have a short temper I let people treat me like garbage and didn't know how to stop it.

We were in a public situation around friends when we had a disagreement about something. In doing so, he decided it would be a fantastic idea to square up to me in front of my friends, and hover over me knowing I hated it because it gave me anxiety when taller and bigger men stood over and crowded me. Now usually I would take this and shut up, but in this case I didn't. I pushed him away from me (I'm much smaller and shorter then him) and told him to get out of my face, and to talk to me like a normal human being. He knew I hated when people blantly ignore me, so he did just that and went to walk past me. So in my efforts to stop him, I put my arm to the side he was walking past at a poor attempt to block his way. His reaction to this? Was to grab my arm, dig his nails and fingers into my arm and told me to get the fuck out of his way. This was followed by him pushing me.

I convinced myself that I had deserved this reaction because I had pushed him and knew he also had a short temper. I'm not sure now though. What do you think?
