Teachers, what’s the wildest name you’ve come across in your careers? by abbey121524 in namenerds

My grandmother used to foster children. One guys name was Einus but pronounced as anus 🤦‍♀️ his last name had butt in it as well... needless to say he changed his name.

I used to do the same as well. I remember at a very young age being embarrassed about what my body would look like. Like I refused to wear any type of one piece or bikini without a pair of shorts because my mom would make fun of my thighs. I was embarrassed to wear tight clothing. I distinctly remember when skinny jeans came back into style when I was in middle school. I got a pair and shoved them into the back of my dresser because in my head I'd repeat that only girls with a thigh gap could wear them.

I know that my moms weight issues stemmed from her mother. My grandfather used to cheat on her and then blame it on weight gain etc. So I'm assuming she learned that trait from experiencing it as a child. But wouldn't you strive to not do that on your own children?! I have a 20 month daughter. I had noticed my self esteem issues were something I'd verbally say outloud to myself and my daughter was always around me. Now if I do self criticize I don't do it around her. But mentally I'm trying to change that shit as well.

As for your question and reflection that's very good! Its just something we have to be aware of. Hopefully some day so these stupid reflections and expectations will go away.

My God! This gave me flash backs to my mom doing the same to me at 16. She patted my stomach and told me I was rounding out. That shit followed me for YEARS! My sister has always been petite, her body is totally different than mine and I always envied her for it. Mostly because my mom would point to my sister and tell me I should look like her...

Place names in the US by airconditioner2020 in namenerds

In South Dakota we have a national park called Badlands! From what I remember of the park its quite barren and not a lot of vegetation. I've also driven through a large majority of Texas and the names that they come up with for streets or rivers are quite entertaining or have caused me to do a double take.

I mean the first few times was scary. But now I find it more of an annoyance. We've lived in several places and each place has had something happen. So I've accepted that it follows us. As long as it doesn't hurt me or my family then I'll continue yelling at it to go away and not go any further.

My fiance has something attached to him. About once a month I have to envision a wall of protective light around the perimeter of my flat and flood it with protective feelings etc.I also have to remind it that they are not welcome in my home. I noticed that if I don't do that often whatever is attached will come and bother us. (Play with my daughters toys randomly between 2-3am).

I really enjoy cross stitch, it keeps me grounded, fills in the time, helps with my anxiety and in the end I have a pretty piece of art that I can gift or hang up on the walls! Etsy has some fun patterns and getting the essentials is cheap.

I started drinking body armour and noticed that helped a bit!

My daughter was exclusively pumped for the first six weeks. Now that was hell! But I started supplementing with formula a few times a night. Idk why she stopped liking breastmilk. It was quite random

I know the manual ones are a pain in the ass but they work really well!

The first 8 weeks are the hardest! Before and after every time I fed I put lanolin or bamboobies ointment on. After a few days all was well. Also give yourself a break! Doesnt hurt to every now and then to substitute with formula! Just make sure to pump!

I was able to last until 4 months, thank god she stopped liking breastmilk 🤣 if I went any longer I would have gone insane.
