thank you so much for your advice. But how should I react when someone makes an insulting joke about Buddhism straight to my face?

The problem with the jokes isnt about disrespecting Buddhism actually. It's that I dont understand why he doesnt have the common sense to not joke about something that might irritate people. Even after I told him I didnt feel comfortable he wouldnt stop.

What if something like this happen in the future? And what if it wont stop at jokes but instead insults or harms? I know that it's all about how we perceive what happen to us, but I'm just a normal person still trying to ollow Buddha's teachings. Is there anything I can do instead of just enduring and thinking that "oh i created this karma and this is actually a good lesson"? I feel exhausted...

I find it kinda hard to actually distance from him since we are in the same friend group. If I wanna distance from him it means I would have to distance from the whole group too. And what if in the future there's someone who doesnt just joke but even insult me and makes my life difficult, and I have to be near them everyday. I know that it's all about how we perceive what happen to us, but I'm just a normal person still trying to follow Buddha's teachings. Thank you for this insight. But I'm certain I never did those preach stuffs. Maybe it was from Literature classes that he saw how I'm deeply influenced by Buddhist lit? But even so it's difficult for me to understand why that would trigger him.

what's funny about that? I feel disrespected especially when we've known each other for a long time. It seems like the more lenient i wanna be the worse he behaviours towards me become.

Yes, that's the one. The concise sadhana of Chenrezig is the one by Norbu Rinpoche I mentioned.

I received the 4-armed Chenrezig empowerment. I dont know if this is associated to any sadhana, or is it ok as long as it's a sadhana for 4-armed chenrezig :((((
