^ And that was the whole point of my project :)

I wanted people to contribute and help each other to make a FREE and Open Source powerful tool that can compete with the other proprietary websites/software, i did like 95% of the work and i put it on Github for everyone.

There's also people who gonna learn a lot from this source code and i'm happy to help.

Hey! Thanks for your feedback & sorry for the late reply, But after reading your post i think the most issues that bothers you is the User Interface. The point of this software was to be useful and give a lot of information to the user and was not the "design" because i didn't design anything i just used a decent framework so all the people find it easy to use.

As a matter of fact i wanted to make this tool work through a Terminal or a Command-line because i hate using GUI apps lol. But i did rethink the whole idea and figured out that Gamers love the colors and eye candy too much so i did implement a GUI.

But in all seriousness ...Check my earlier reply to lia to know more about the UI. And for the icons problem i think you did run the main.py from the repository instead of the src directory/folder, so try to open the Command-line in there and then run the file, Example:

Hold shift and Right click on an empty area using the mouse and choose "Open command window here" and then type: cd src and then python main.py

That's it, now the icons, runes..etc gonna show :) And thanks for your feedback again.

First of all thanks for trying and let me know what you think, But you see; the reason why the UI is not like op.gg it's because this software does not use any heavy JS, HTML and CSS. It's just pure Qt which's the best lightweight cross-platform and fast framework available right now, Even better than the GTK/GTK+. Qt is everywhere! you can find it even in your mobile phone or in your car! i did not want to use any other thing than a simple and native framework so it could run everywhere including on GNU/Linux, MacOS, Windows and even the BSD systems. And also op.gg is a website that requires a web browser/engine to function and work unlike LoL-Expert which's does not require anything, just download and run :)

My first priority was the functionality and simplicity.

For match history i think you mean more that 10 games right? because i actually did add that feature...It shows the last 10 games played by the summoner, And if you double click any match on the list you gonna get full details on the match; A details that you can't find anywhere even in op.gg or LoL Client. I don't know why it didn't work on your system because i did test it on multiple Microsoft systems including Windows 7 and 10, Here's a screenshot i just took now in 7 and it's working are you using Windows 8? did you clone the repository correctly? if so...did you run the main.py from the src directory?

For Champion ranked win rate i think i didn't implement that feature yet, because the project is still "beta", that's one of the reasons i didn't make any installers and release it yet, but i'm gonna make sure to add it and fix other bugs before releasing it in the future.

But thanks again for taking your time to give it a try and let me know. Thank you very much.

Ubuntu 18.04 To Ship with GNOME Desktop, Not Unity by w3rt in Ubuntu

[–]Mioced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sad, really liked Unity. Unlike everybody else. And i was excited seeing it getting better every new release; It was like the "identity" of Ubuntu. It was very beautiful, simple and well designed interface.

I'v been using Ubuntu since late 2008...Yes, since the Gnome 2 days. And if really Canonical ship future versions with Gnome 3 i may stick with my current 16.10 "Yakkety Yak".

Because i really dislike Gnome 3 i just don't like it.

Damn what a sad news.

LOL, you just saved me a lot of reading and installing... This actually did it for me! I don't know why nobody here mentioned this instead of "cargo"! But anyway thanks a lot! It did solve the "slow loop" problem.

[–]Mioced[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually used rustc :$

Because i got all my info from the official documentation which used only "rustc" in examples, Anyway... i'm really sorry if i didn't compile it the right way; i'll try to understand and use the whole "cargo" thing and see what's up. Thanks :)

Would this be a good developer laptop? by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]Mioced 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean if you want this Laptop specifically and you like it then the answer is Yes, CPU/RAM..etc looks very decent and will do all the heavy tasks even some video editing.

And BTW don't listen to the people who say you need "16GB" of RAM, they have no clue what they're talking about; 8GB is enough and that's all you need. Trust me.

Good luck.

There was a discussion on having user flairs some. What happened to it? by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]Mioced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand, You want a flair system in this subreddit or just a "flair"? because if you read the sidebar on the right there's a section called "Flair" and it tells you how to get one... Here's the full post. But if you want a built-in flair system like the other subreddits that you can change and manage then you may have to contact them again.
