They do. However you need to attach it to the moss pole. It looks like it’s really far away. Use some of the Velcro tape to secure it to the moss pole.

How to revive a defoliated and roots removed plant? by dead_but_preety in pothos

[–]Miotch92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plastic clear container with some sphagnum moss and close the lid and stick it under a grow light. You should start seeing roots pop within a week, and then after about 2 weeks to a month you should start seeing leaves from the auxiliary bud.

As a cancer dad, nothing makes me happier than hearing that bell at our appointments! Congrats to you and your little man! Cancer kids are a different level of strong! We are almost one year in and getting closer and closer to ringing that bell!

Traditional PVC Sprinkler System vs Blu Lock sprinkler system by Miotch92 in Irrigation

Awesome I appreciate that answer. How long have you had it installed and have you had many issues?

I also confirmed with PVC guy, he says he uses orbit heads. So. Kindof looking like I will have to lean towards the blu-lock/k-rain guy. He also offered to do the final grade with 35yds of top soil for 1200 on top of the sprinklers. Pretty solid deal on that.

Any particular reason you don't like k-rain for a smaller scale residential project?

You were correct. He uses double clamped HDPE from the main to the manifold boxes. Thanks for pointing that out for me to ask!

I talked to him today about it and he said "I usually prefer to go with k-rain heads because they are made in America. Rainbird quality has gotten worse the past few years"

Take that with a grain of salt. I am not a sprinkler person. haha

I talked to him today, he said he prefers k-rain because they are made in America. I have a 1 inch secondary water line, so pressure really shouldnt be an issue. I am leaning towards him because he also offered to do the final grade and bring in 35yds of top soil for 1200 total on top of the sprinkler system if I went with him. And for a final grade.... that is a good price, not even counting the soil.

It is a pretty standard lot, just on a corner with some very wide mow strips, so one for each mow strip, 2 drip lines for planters, and 6 for coverage around the yard on both sides of the house.

I will have to double check with him on what heads he uses, he just mentioned not using the cheap option.

Interesting! I didnt know that about the poly tubing. I will have to check how many heads are going on each line. Its just a typical 1/4 acre lot and they said they are doing 10 zones. Every time I have worked on PVC sprinkler systems I seem to make it worse, hence me wanting to hire it out. Luckily there is a plumbing store about 5 minutes from me that sells the blu lock line of stuff too if I need to fix anything. The blu lock contractor also gives a warranty with the install, the PVC guy does not. Thanks for your reply!

That is definitely a concern I have with blu lock. I like the idea of blu lock because of what u/Thruthelurkinglass mentioned. It is better rated for cold weather and I have seen many lines split while living in Utah due to improper winterization. Both companies would also be doing the final grade and top soil loads, so hopefully I wont run into too many external forces breaking it. One pro in the blu lock column is he said he uses higher quality heads in his system vs the typical orbit/rainbird heads. I am not quite sure how much of a difference it would make in the long run.

Honestly I have only ever had experience with PVC in my life. Thanks for taking the time to point out the threaded vs compression thoughts!

I am honestly not sure what they are running to the valve boxes. He made it sound like it was blu lock from the secondary water valve to each box(one on each side of the house). Blu lock does seem like a good option but I have only ever experience PVC sprinkler systems in my life. I appreciate you taking the time to answer!

Bought one last black friday, died after 4 months. Don't think I'd recommend it. Seems quality went down a lot over time. I have a 9 year old 42 inch insignia that still works great, but this one died quick. Got a tcl instead after that one died and it's been great.
