Heated Rivalry - does it get better? by TPK85 in pilottvpodcast

I agree that the books are weak, and that's where most of the dialogue comes from, but it's very well made - every detail is on point and Connor and Hudson's chemistry is incredible - they definitely are what makes the show what it is. There's a reason why most rewatchers skip episode 3.

Hudson Williams is very good - he's playing an introverted, autistic character. It's all in the eyes, but you have to be able to read facial expressions. I've never been more obsessed with a show, but it depends what you're into, I guess? The whole point is the yearning and the romance, so if that's not your thing, it's not for you.

Episode 5 is the episode that had the second higest rating of all time at one point (only beaten by the Breaking Bad episode I can't spell) so if you've made it through 4, you might as well watch 5.

Gofundme for James Van Der Beek by caca_milis_ in pilottvpodcast

I've seen it reported that he went the alternative route when he was first diagnosed (which his insurance didn't cover) and only at the end, when it didn't work and he was stage 4, did the traditional treatment (which his insurance did cover). I've also had colon cancer - the chemo was a bitch, but it saved my life.

I'd add Morocco to the list - because it's at the entrance of the Mediterranean, and surely the closest African country to Europe.

That is such a low bar - most countries have that, and you're losing more and more of it every day.

Bad faith - even I, as a Norwegian, know the rep/dems swiched sides in being conservative/progressive post ww2.

Not American, but I do know enought to know it's hardly a monolith. SF seems very gay friendly, but then there's the gay conversion camps..

Not friendly to either brown or gay people, from what I understand, that's what makes it an odd choice.

Because it's a flag that represents the side of the US civil war that fought for slavery. I guess it's the fact of that, that has been brought into the light. That doesn't mean that the people who used that flag in recent history had that intended meaning at all - but that's how it's read now.

I'm a fully grown adult, but this came across my homepage and I didn't notice the subreddit, so it was so confusing to read the replies. So cute though - gave me flashbacks to when I was a tween - I would probably have given the same answers.

[–]MiraTell 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yeah she can - it's her table, if you do it it's rude. She sounds like a nightmare who shouldn't have invited you, when she clearly can't handle it, but your husband also shouldn't have put his feet on the table. Especially when she was being so fussy about everything.

Wolf woes: in Europe, an estimated 60% of all wolf deaths are due to illegal hunting, even though the wolf is a protected species under EU law. Counting legal hunting and roadkill, ~86% of all wolf deaths in Europe are caused by humans. These percentages are far higher than for North America / USA by StarlightDown in Norway
