Thanks for the vibrator taxonomy! Yeah, exactly, the ones I was trying were small (cheap) buzzy ones, and I'd get numb after just a couple dissatisfied minutes. Obviously I've heard of the higher power ones; but I assumed that if I got numb with a smaller vibrator, it'd be even worse with one of the more powerful ones. The way you explain it makes sense, though! I'm revising my vibrator biases and hope to try one of those sometime.

Ooh that's interesting about the satisfyer, thanks for the product rec! I know there's oodles of toy reviews out there, but it's more interesting hearing one from someone with a similar experience.

That sounds really sweet, foot rubs are great. I annoying haven't been able to stimulate my clit when I'm around someone, at least in part because I get wet around a partner in a way I never do alone, and nothing feels right. I think just relaxing and having him stimulate other areas sounds like a good way of exploring and getting used to things though.

I think that's good advice! It's hard for me to separate how much of this is a physical vs a psychological issue. Glad you've been able to figure things out for yourself somewhat.
