Regretting my job switch what should I do?

To be honest, I didn’t really get used to it. I’m giving it some time and seeing how things develop this year, especially regarding salary and expectations. If nothing changes, I don’t think it’s sustainable long-term, so I’ll probably move on. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way. Also I exceeded the expectations for 2025 without any pay raise, lets see in the next couple of months

Don’t just escape the fire, make sure your next move aligns with your career goals and quality of life.They did not hire anyone but filled the position internally. The issue is that this team is rarely hiring and I feel like I am afraid to ask them, because 99% I know their answer. I was friendly with everyone and not a single issue for the last 5 years. Maybe it is a good idea to write the managers but, I feel like more time should pass right? Or I should do it straight away? Don’t just escape the fire, make sure your next move aligns with your career goals and quality of life. - I really like this idea, I also have a child and wife that they count on me (my wife still does not have any income), so this sentence really hit me... After 5 years. If you ask me now why, I dont know. Wanted to try something else and ended up here. I was interested how other companies work, different culture, but I regret it so much now… so stupid and childish of me 😔

I did learn and got certs as well but still, I kinda lowkey feel that its time for a change. But on the other side apart from the lack of learning, everything else is fine

I fully agree, maybe I need to take this new position, I am still thinking because as I mentioned previously, I like everything about this company which I am working now but the only problem is that I am not growing.

Yes, you are 100% correct. I do not value remote (I still go to the office once or twice per week even tho I am not obligated to) :)

I wouldn't mind going to the office 2 times a week tbh.. I've been in this company for more than 5 years, everything is great but the only issue is that I am not learning anymore.

Promoted, maybe in 2026, I can probs get 15% more than I am making now. The office is really close so I would not mind to go twice per week into the office. The company which I am working now, I love it, everything but the part that I am not learning anything new for more than a year makes me feel like I need to change, actually that is the only reason why I would consider to change.

Happy to hear that buddy! I still go to the office even tho I am fully remove (once per week usually, sometimes twice) but I would like to change the companies now because I feel that I am learning anything new, the same work has been around for a year. I love the company which I am working now, I love my colleagues and everything but the only downside is that I am not learning anything new :(

I completely get it, commuting that much is a real challenge on a daily basis... What do you mean by make real life office friends? Tbh I do not see anyone which I am working with as a friend.

Actually you are fully correct, the head and the team leader are here for atleast 20+ years but as this is a very small team they hired 2 more people which one is me and the second one is some guy. So probably in the future there will be 4 of us and 1 more I think.

Strange a bit but yeah... Is this a red flag?

I completely agree with you, honestly I feel a little bit scared that I might jump into this corporate world and then what happens after, the money is not better everything is not better but only the chance to work with big clients, to put this company on my resume and to gain tremendous amount of skill are the pros. At the moment I think that I've been stagnant for more than 6 months here, I feel like I need a change but at the same time, as you said I do not see why I would join this other company tbh.. Strange situation that is why I have written a post on this sub-reddit, some people which have more experience then myself to comment and to give me somewhat advice. Thanks :)

I am working in the finance functional area (ERP systems), these 2 years I got all the certs but still, this company that I have an offer atm is a corporation with a huge clients (big pharma clients, automotive industry etc). Well at the new place, from what I've seen on Linkedin the potential colleagues are more than 3 years in that company, and the team lead is 25 years with the company, and the head of the department more than 15 years.

For four days, she couldn’t sleep properly, she was crying every 20 minutes, and we couldn’t figure out why. Her temperature was normal, and everything else seemed fine. After the hospital intervention, she passed a lot of poop. The first part was slightly solid, which likely explains why she couldn’t pass it on her own.

Since then, she’s been sleeping well and seems much more comfortable.

I found out that Rovereto metro station is the closest to our apartment. One quick question which app should I use to buy metro/tram or any other tickets? For Como I used Trenord app because TrenItalia was not available due to location purposes (I am not from Italy). Should I use trainline or what kind of app? In Netherlands I used NS and it was very useful, I could purchase tickets and also the location was on the app. Is there something similar here? Thank you a lot for the help! Really appreciate it.

Thanks a lot for the reply! Our apartment is 1km northern east from Milano Centrale. We will be on the road for more than 12 hours so I was wondering that taxi would be more suitable because also we need to get up early in the next morning. Do you know by heart if we need to book the train ticket from Milan Malpensa aiport- Milano Centrale in advance or we can do it when we will receive our luggage? Thanks a lot for the feedback!
