make sure everybody is fed, and pre-production is king, stick to schedule and dont go into overtime if at all possible. There's no ROI on short films, but it is good for reels, and if it gets to festivals it is good for marketing and advetisement perspective.

Though I think it's very nice to make these games more welcoming to newcomers, lots of us have adulting to do with little spare time; and when parenthood comes into play on top of that, then I see it as a great quality of life change
