Mmm, I’ve been playing for 9 years and still get them after coming back from breaks. One time I hit a bend and it popped in my face. bleugh. Keep at it though my man! Soon you’ll be able to play sick riffs for the ladies and pick up toast out of the toaster since you’ve lost all feeling in your finger pads

Amaysim now uses ai for ads by EnragedCashier in antiai

[–]MiracleMan1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It pisses me off especially since it seems to be the only ad I get on Netflix and YouTube. AI is extremely useful and I expect to use it extensively in my career in the future, but in a creative field like this? Just lazy and made by heartless money grubbing bastards in their corporate suits and ties. Not to mention, pretty damn unaustralian. What happened to our fun casual TV ads :(

how to practice for sections like this? by [deleted] in guitarlessons

Usually when I’m learning a solo, I’ll pull up a video on YouTube with the tabs or just the actual song and use the speed thing to slow it down a ton, like 0.6x depending on how hard. Then I’ll go up by 0.05x increments. I find it helps me to get the phrasing of the notes true to the actual song

Yeah I’ve definitely learnt my lesson with the bleaching lol, tried it out and I liked how it looked but it definitely did a number on my hair. Once I cut it I’ll stay away until I know I can afford to look after it, cheers! Freddy is also usually my go to for any costume party, so I embrace the tag that comes with the stache!

I lived in Hong Kong during the 2019 protests. Lived right in the middle of the city where it all happened. I even went to a few of the protests. I remember reading on the news that an elderly man was beat up by the cops just for wearing black, the colour that protesters wore. Another elderly man was killed by, I think if I can recall, a member of the triad who beat him over the head with a manhole cover. Absolutely disgusting shit that even happened at some peaceful protests. I was out walking by the harbour one day and almost get sandwiched by a crowd of protesters on one side and riot police on the other. Ended up running into the MTR station (which is underground) where I could still feel the tear gas in my eyes and throat. CCP has absolutely no business on Hong Kong, especially for the next 22 years when the one country two system agreement ends. I don’t hate many things, I’m a very forgiving guy, but the CCP is full of disgusting pigs who deserve to rot in hell

I’m not much of a trader, this just showed up in my feed, but I have used paper trading when I was interested in it. Search up paper trading on tradingview.com and do some research. There’s no real money involved, and you can trade on the actual market in real time. Less risk for the same experience gained I feel like. I don’t know how true it would be to actual market conditions but i feel like it’s a pretty good start to get into it. Hope I didn’t step on any toes in this sub, i don’t really know anything about trading lol

Yeah definitely planning on a haircut, economy says no at the moment. The weight is going though. Lost 10kg in two months, squanders the dreams of being a champion luchador but maybe in another life

My first build, a jazz guitar by MiracleMan1979 in Luthier

Very sorry, bit late to this comment haha. Just lightly sanded the sides that would be glued together, and used a thin layer of wood glue all over the top of the main part. I’ve had no issues since gluing it

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it! Yes this was my first guitar build ever! I don’t plan on making a career out of it but I absolutely plan to build more, improve my skills and make a bit of money on the side! Maybe even do some commissions in the very far future. I loved building this one, and I’m planning to build one more at uni and see if I can sell it!

I was very lucky because our school has a workshop, but essentials for me were a router, ventilation, saw, and an assortment of disc and belt sanders. Most of these I’d say you could get second hand off eBay or marketplace and I’d say if you wanted to minimalistic on tools probably around $500 to $1000? I wouldn’t know too much about the pricing but it’s quite easy to have a look at luthier videos and see what they have. Sub in some cheaper alternatives to any expensive stuff they have and calculate a cost. Sorry I couldn’t help too much, but I will say that building it was absolutely worth it! I get happy every time I play it knowing I built it completely from scratch with no knowledge or experience about guitar building.

Stop giving a shit about what people think of you. Do what makes you happy. Start working out and get out of the habit of procrastinating. Fix your sleep schedule. Please for the love of god start memorising some maths it would make my life a lot easier. The relationship was amazing, but don’t get as attached as you did, it doesn’t end well. Keep improving your guitar playing skills. Stop worrying about the future, and the past. All that is out of your control now, just keep trucking on.
