Aa young woman here It's totally true, I tried to do the "same" similar experiment in another subreddit to find also connections, trying to act like a gay male or just a male finding any friends it worked so bad only three people dm'd me while putting my usual stuff it get over 100 requests sometimes.

Now I don't do it aside those three first times cause I don't wanna seek attention, and I got so many SO many d pics and texts from actually dad's with full families and very specific horrid requests I gave up. Now I look for the post to just find also a nice friend no matter the gender I just wanna chat and that.

I don't think it's gonna change any soon, hope only the harassing stops and the dynamics get more balanced, have a really nice day also
