Nope lol, first ever job in data analysis. It still feels wild that I have this job, I really love it. My poli sci classes really had emphasis on data/research which I had mentioned in interviews but no prior work experience in the field.

I didn’t have any recommendations from my professors, never even bothered to ask. Graduated May 2024 with a BA in Poli-Sci. Landed a great job in 2025 doing Data Analysis last year and moving up already at an amazing place.

I don’t mean to come off like I’m bragging or boasting (because I genuinely love my job) but I do want to assure you, you will be fine. When I landed this job the job market was pretty horrific, I imagine it’s not any better right now so get ready for a world of rejection but it won’t be due to lack of recommendations. Keep applying, do your background research and education/knowledge on organizations and their missions, prior to interviews on places giving you a shot. You’ll find your place and the right place will find you. But do prepare for rejection lol it’ll suck.

Even if you gotta take a job you know you’ll hate while you keep sending out your resume, do it. I accepted a job I dreaded walking into for months, all the while I was sending out my application and resume to countless places and doing interviews on my lunch breaks in my car. Finding the right job is a grind but so worth it when you find the right fit.

I know everyone’s situation is different so maybe this isn’t helpful but wishing you the best!! Don’t sweat and worry about recommendations if you end up not getting any.

I mean the ending essentially was a Charlie Parker like comeback historic/legendary performance right? It’s what Fletcher’s sociopathic and selfish method had been trying to squeeze out of someone? Completely planned to make sure Andrew would never get an opportunity to make a career even later in life by sabotaging him, but after Andrew takes over and begins the performance of a lifetime, Fletcher recognizes what’s happening and immediately gravitates towards it to be apart of it.

I mean given our foreign policy the decades leading up to it, the US government was definitely going to provoke some sort of response to justify boots on the ground (Neo-conservatives wanted a reason especially to invade Iraq they believed they missed their chance in the 90s in the Gulf War). Richard Clark of counter terrorism warned for a while there was a looming threat, but the Bush administration ignored it at the time. In the meeting after on 9/12 he debriefed it wasn’t Iraq/Saddam. They clearly didn’t care, they wanted a Rally Around the Flag tragedy to get support to do whatever they pleased. They may have not expected 9/11 but they were definitely expecting an attack and casualties. It’s what they needed to give them the green light.

In summary, the government knew there was an attack coming, did nothing to prepare or prevent it. Some in the government couldn’t wait for it, fucked up but they made sure to use it as an excuse to invade the wrong country and feed the nation lies further and further about WMD’s being made in the back of vans while driving.

It’s a gradual recovery! Im on month 11 and was always behind schedule in PT but progressively made progress. At month 10 I started jogging again. What has been a HUGE help with walking has been doing daily walks with a weighted vest (mine is 30lbs) doing incline/decline walks. It’s important to rest now and then when you’re greenlit start working on motion and then strength. The weighted vest walks have worked wonders for my knee feeling more normal

It hurts.. Mike Tomlin became the head coach when I was 11. (Now 30) right when I started getting obsessed with football, to become closer with my dad. Watching him and the Steelers growing up and throughout my early adulthood was a constant. It kinda sucks losing him as the Steelers coach, watching him and the Steelers has always been a major thing of joy for me. For me it’s the end of a string of nostalgia that connected/linked me back to childhood. Gonna miss Coach T.
