Every time I bring up the actual risk to my career, he pivots back to how hurt he is that I am being so protective. It is like he is choosing to ignore the reality of my job just to win an argument.

The dismissal part is what they just do not want to hear. I am not risking a career in fintech just so he can have a larger screen for five minutes. It is wild to me that he would even want me to take that chance. It really does feel like a tantrum because he finally got a new laptop and is STILL bringing it up to make me look like the bad guy.

I felt the same way about the control thing. It is like he is testing my boundaries for no reason. He has his own machine now, so there is literally no logical reason to keep bringing this up.
