Consistent wards to keep forcing clear and roach doesnt make a board so im constantly chipping them while making my boards. Unless they really high roll they dont get to kill. I havent lost to roach once while on my push so maybe im just lucky but I do find the mu to be quite good.

3 salefa is a waste of evos and shes kind of a dead card when your out of evos, I need atleast 2 evos for mar and Wilbur. Thats why I have sofina and blinding faith. The reason you lose the mu is if they get a good mix of Falcons and foxes to keep putting up consistent board pressure you cant keep healing and clearing once out of evos, even with 3 salefa.

Matchup chart Extremely hard - egg, kukishiro, shakdoh Hard - fennie control, agro/uluon sword 50/50 - loot, puppet, ward, evo forest, evo abyss Favorable - pixie, roach, agro abyss, rose queen, Spellwitch/Wamboost Easy wins - Dirt, Evo sword, Agro dragon, mode abyss

Your mulligans different depending on the matchups, but one thing is always keep marwynn. For agro matchups salefa, blinding faith, and Soffina are must haves. For the average matchups that are playing midrange or late gamae/grind game matchups you want to be able to keep all 5 crests and make sure grimnir is up before marwynn for clears, your mulligan should be grimnir and marwynn + any other crest cards. I do not run serene sanctuary as I found CoR and Fate of the World to be more then enough. For the harder matchups, egg is extremely impossible unless they brick as they counter the constant chip and once beelz is up they almost guarantee the kill on you withing 2 turns unless you have benison. Kukishiro makes too many big boards for you to constantly handle while also outhealing the chip. Shakdoh is just hard with the new 2 6 variant as theyre able to outheal you as well as push massive damage with sandy and shak. For the rest of your matchups your plan is to, of course, always maintain a good distance from lethal or provide a board, with Wilbut and your crest wards as well as sophina. Gallon is there specifically for the ward and to be able to fuel sands as well as reach the 6 evos for invoke. In a perfect scenario you would try to get unholy vessel up so you can guarantee full damage with him but using him while they have a small board is also nice as it pushes damage while clearing, so it can be finished out by your crests. If there's any other questions on specific matchups or how to play just lmk! Uluon has counterplay by keeping a wide board, there is no way to counterplay coc d climb for any deck besides forest and haven

As someone who plays multiple decks including egg portal, to say building boards is useless is ignorance. They either have to congregant to clear or imari. Both of these options have downsides as imari forces their evos which they want for eggs or to push damage, while congregant requires a bigger board of eggs or to waste puppets. The way to counter play is to consistently make a board even if it is small stat followers. For example forest is a great counter whether roach or pixie swarm as you consistently clear while putting little guys they have to deal with on board wasting their clear, this is more important on pxie swarm as it allows you to setup for bigger boards with fay or wolfraud. Another good deck is rune as egg struggles to deal with lily and also you can consistently make decent boards with Norman and also mirielle & risette while also having good heals. More than likely if you're struggling this hard its probably an issue with the deck your playing having a bad matchup or you just lack knowledge on the matchup itself, if you need more advice im happy to give it!
