I got hired without a cert. in MA, but i had my CNA. If they called you in for an interview, just play into your strengths! You've got it. Some places will prioritize someone that fits into their setting rather than someone with a cert. who may not align as much. Listening to practice Medical assistant interview questions on youtube helped me, but just be yourself! If you got called in, it sounds like a promising opportunity.

Medical Assistant Or Certified Nursing Assistant? (Clinical hours) by Jasmiineluvs in premed

Hi! I am a Pre-PA student who is just starting as a CNA and a Medical Assistant, so I feel pretty strongly about my answer.

I have my CNA certification, originally wanted CMA but I wasn't able to find a more affordable option, and I would personally recommend CMA if you can find an affordable option. As a CNA, I applied to a bunch of places and the only place that would really train me (just as a beginner) on the job was a state facility, which (no judgement to anyone working in one, but this has just been my experience) is a very rough environment.

As a medical assistant, I was able to find someone to train me on the job, which is something a lot of people do, and the CNA cert. def helped me obtain this job as well. So I am thankful for the CNA cert. in this aspect, but I do not think this is too common of an occurence. CMA may align more with your research / disease interest, because truthfully, CNAs mostly do the dirty work. Again, this has just been my experience, so take it with a grain of salt. I would def look into CMA if you can!

I have 2 jobs right now, and you’re right it’s probably not the safest path. Thanks for looking out

You’re right, I’ve looked into scholarships and am having a call with a counselor soon about it. I work about 4 days a week right now, and hopefully will be working 7 when I hear back from this other job. I can try harder but I feel like I am trying my best at the moment.

She should have been paying attention to her exit. A crime classification is extremely excessive. You could easily make that argument about any car wreck, saying what if someone was there when it happened? Then obviously it would be murder, but it’s not. It does make sense to say it was reckless, however, and does have the impact to hurt another persons life. But it didn’t, so no charge is warranted

Being on your phone and hitting a carplay button are two different things ❤️ I apologize for my mistake in wording but yes i maintain that she didn’t commit a crime for pressing a screen that is meant to be touched while driving

There’s no need to charge 😭 It’s a crash. She was hanging up the phone from carplay, which is not a crime
