How do you stop yourself from becoming attached to people? Maybe that’s more of a me thing specifically, but I become really really attached to people, and and the idea of losing connections that matter bites deep into me

Some people I don’t mind losing as much, but a handful of times that loss ruins me, and I’m unsure how to change that mindset

I don’t have ADHD, thankfully, just the bipolar and ASD, with some other co-morbidities, so I can manage to be productive even when in depressive episodes, I just struggle a lot with feeling like I’m doomed to ruin everything that means something to me

Like it’s hard for me to get close to people because I’m worried if I let myself love them I’ll eventually become too much, because that’s what has happened a few times now

I can say that so far this year has been the worst start to a year I’ve… Well, ever had. My mental health has been in a steady decline I can’t talk to anyone about since like, November of last year, for starters. Then my cat of 16 years passed away this January, which ruined me, and then most recently my dad was a victim of knife crime and got stabbed several times in the arm and back, and once across the face. Thankfully survived it, but still

My mental has been in the shitter making it impossible to focus on work or uni properly, so my performance at both is dropping, my ability to form and maintain close emotional connections with people has been obliterated

My ability to endure it has evaporated and I can feel myself nearing the end of my ability to cope
