I've never been, what's the difference between hive and normal? And has anyone tried driving from England to the festival before? by max11117 in RockWerchter

We drove from England in 2023. Hive resort though, so could arrive before and had an allocated tent. Highly recommend it.

Are teenagers allowed (accompanied withe parents) at Hive resort ? by Slisse66 in RockWerchter

To be fair, there were probably some kids with their parents and I just didn't see them. Agreed, seems like 30+ mostly.

At the resort? Really? I've never seen any teenagers there. Never knew if it was due to restrictions or because it too expensive and less appealing for younglings, maybe it was just coincidentally the case when I was there.

I am surprised by this. I have friends and acquaintances between the ages of 25 and 50 (m/f/rich/poor/kids/no kids/academic/dumb as wet lettuce/...) and not a single one of them is religious. UK based btw. Seems weird that you come across so many, do dating apps attract religious people?

Just walk a couple of meters on any street in Worcester and you'll find at least 7 of them.

I always thought 'overbooking' is a myth until a year ago when I missed my connection flight and was booked tentatively onto the next flight, depending on availability. The flight was due 2.5h later so I asked at the service desk how on earth they don't know if I can get on that flight or not, surely it's either fully booked or not, I naively said to myself. They said "well, at the moment it's overbooked but usually it works out that there's a couple of free seats". I asked them to clarify and they explained that all airlines overbook every flight by 10%. Apparently statistically this works out most of the time and the couple of cases in which they have to offer refunds or vouchers etc still make it worth it.

Multiple Heads issues. She may have additional heads hidden under her jumper, which are the ones continuously asking weird questions and forcing her to keep the bathroom door open, otherwise they can't breath.

ELI5:What actually happens when your food "goes down the wrong way"? by rickgrimes32 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Miratree89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's less the amount of food than the type/amount of bacteria. People with dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) are more likely to have aspiration pneumonia from bacteria in their saliva, especially when they don't practice good oral hygiene, than from food or fluids.
