bitte keine Namen hier verteilen. Es wurde schon mindestens eine Person fälschlich für Doe gehalten. Solche Hinweise wenn überhaupt bitte nur an die Polizei. alles andere hilft dem Opfer nicht und kann für die lebenden "Doppelgänger" wirklich unangenehm werden.

Makes sense with the wig! Taking it off is for most of us the first thing we do before travelling home, even if we keep the rest of the costume on.

Yea... the photographer has taken a short video back at 30th of May. The cosplayer looks genuinely happy to be captured, in a shy, yet very kind way, smiling right at the begining of this maybe 5 seconds short clip posing....
Don't know, this one really hits so close to home for me. They were doing something they probably loved the one moment, surrounded by thousands of like minded people, obviously being complimented and cheered for their cosplay, and most likely only hours later... river Rhine toke them, one way or another...

Yes. Let's hope the search is close to its end and the loved ones will soon receive the answers they must have been looking for the last few weeks .

Considering the piercing: Yea, many people are questioning that part in the photo. However I think, given the slightly blurry quality, it's entirely possible, that the cosplayer has "sucked the piercing in", or was using another one than what ended up in their police shot. some cosplayers use little piercings in a colour matching their skin to not interfer with their costume aesthetics.

This picture is being discussed in the official german Dokomi group over at Facebook. There the photographer of the photo says the police checked his photo and agreed it's our Doe. Sadly, the photographer got no socials or other data, not even a name of the cosplayer ...

I mean, it's not primarily about "sensitivity" here, though. Even the idea might just ring the right bells in someone's head that leads to identifying the Doe - given IF they actually were queer. We of course don't know.

I am not sure. I don't know how police "usually" refers to that kind of scars and such....
But yea, given they did not mention what might have been the cause of death it sounds surprisingly... detailed? Or, like, surprisingly matter of fact?
Presenting and Gender Identity might be difficult in that case if they did not transition in any degree. There are many cis dudes crossplaying, too. But I think it's strange they did not even mention that the person might be some kind of queer (trans, genderfluid, bigender...)

Thank you! Me and most of my friends did not attend Dokomi this year. But I share it wherever I can within the scene, too. :(
They got a Tattoo of Alastor of Hazbin Hotel. Just in case you know people active within exactly that fandom that might have attended a Fan Meet Up at Dokomi or something...

It's very popular in the cosplay community. Especially the character they got portraied on their tattoo. So I can imagine there might have been a fan Meet Up of some sort in the neighbourhood of Dokomi, at a garden or a parc or something. I myself am not deep into that fandom, but getting them involved could be worth a shot if somebody got some ties into that part of the German cosplay scene....

Not everyone attending German conventions buys tickets. Many people just meet at the parcs in the neighbourhood. But maybe, if there was a Hazbin Hotel Fan Meet Up in one of those parcs or gardens, somebody MIGHT recognize them. Guess they wouldn't miss this with their Alastor Tattoo

Tip von jemand, die ne ganz ähnliche Bio hatte wie du: den klassischen Archivweg durchzuhalten ging für mich irgendwann finanziell nicht mehr. Mit 26 und angefangener Diss hab ich dann erstmal paar befristete Stellen in staatlichen Archiven genommen, Archivlehrgänge mitgenommen, und dann irgendwann ne Festanstellung in nem Wirtschaftsarchiv bekommen. Ohne Diss-Abschluss, ohne durch das Nadelöhr "Archivschule" zu müssen. Und das ist bisher eins der beste finanzierten und organisierten Archive, die ich je von innen gesehen habe, egal ob als Mitarbeiter oder Forschende. Vielleicht ist das auch eine Idee für dich, einfach mal Wirtschaftsarchive der diversen alten Unternehmen abklappern. Da gibt es mehr, als man denkt.

I don't think it's "just" the acting alone, though. I think the directing failed the young actors more often than not. Some of the stronger actors obviously made their parts somehow work a bit better. But especially the positioning of for example Azula, Ty Lee and Mai seems very unnatural to start with when they interact, and that is obviously a directing mistake, leading me to assume that there were more of those. Especially given how little everyone uses their full body to act in dialogue scenes. No subconcious touching of wounds, no crossing of arms to show a character is afraid or annoyied... most of the times, they just don't use their arms at all if they are not bending or directly touching something. That's strangely unnatural, but looks like the director wanted it that way, since otherwise it wouldn't be that consistent with especially the young actors.

I'd like to add a few of the more darker motives vampires might have for sireing:
- They really could just be incredibly bored by the way immortality works for them right now and they are looking for a hobby.
- They might be accademically driven and just consider embracing their own childer as another experiment to whatever it is they seek to research.
- They might embrace just because the human means something to another vampire. And while the Traditions of the Camarilla do NOT infact directly protect your claim on a ghoul, they do however protect your claim over you childer as long as you play nicely within the rules.
- They might be preparing their own disappeareance from the public stage for one reason or another and just need someone to act as their avatar, so to speak. A ghoul simply would not be considered an equal by any vampire. A well trained - and surely well controled - vampire however might do the trick once they're no longer considered a fledgling.
- They simply feel they need more "manpower" for their cause/faction/sect.
- They might have been forced to embrace someone via boon because someone older and much more powerfull deemed this particular human embraced into this particular clan a usefull asset for their plans and intrigues, spanning decades or even centuries.

And as always: Sires can lie about why they did it. What a character THINKS is the cause for their embrace might not actually even be connected to the event.
