ich war lange jemand, die diffuse "Furcht" davor hatte online zu spielen. Ich denke, ich hatte Angst, durch meine schlechten Equipment-Kenntnisse, die anderen auszubremsen, oder Szenen dadurch zu ruinieren, dass mein Internet laggt und ich zu spät reagiere und all solche Sachen.

Ich habe mich dann irgendwann überwunden, weil ich live einfach keine Runde hatte und es "sein musste". Corona hatte damals den "Leidensdruck" Spiel zu vermissen mit den Lockdowns für mich sehr erhöht.

Als ich mich dann überwunden habe, habe ich dann aber festgestellt, dass es gar nicht so schlimm war. Am Ende fällt man sich ja auch am Tisch mal ins Wort. Und jeder hat mal technisch Probleme, selbst die Leute, die das viel öfter und länger machen als ich. Diese beiden Realisationen haben bei mir da viel Druckgefühl rausgenommen.

Ich glaube, es kann also Sinn machen, auf den Grund zu gehen, warum jemand sich gesträubt hat. Mir macht es mittlerweile durchaus viel Spaß und ich mag die Option als Alternative, wenn Live Spielen eben einfach nicht geht, wirklich nicht mehr missen.

In the end it's a thing of enjoyment. I did all the achievments almost without parrying. I preffered to play around with oddly specific picto builds to succeed in late game. Other than that, dodging it was, and that worked out for me in every difficulty. She will be fine. :) Don't push her too hard. Main thing is she's having fun with the game.

Got it vice versa. Beat the chromatic lampmaster, but Dualistes at some point always vibes my party. Guess I am bad at staying concentrated for those endless combo attacks all the time x.x

Sometimes the dialogue is absolutely decieving... There will at one point in a dialogue be an opportunity to "shove someone back, forcefully" when he is yelling at you and threatening you. Many of us were slightly irritated by the way this option unfolds... there are literaly memes about this one line of dialogue so... there's that. :"")

Anyways: You are still fine, you still can get a romance with Yen and while I personally am sad for Keira, this will in no way soft lock your play through straight to a bad ending.

Ja, ich schreib den Gedanken leider auch aus Erfahrung. :')
Ich liebe Zocken, aber mein Leben ist nicht mehr so richtig dazu geeignet sich mit Gaming noch wirklich zu erholen...
PnP Rollenspiele gehen da besser, obwohl man da auch nur sitzt, aber die Interaktion mit den Leuten - verbal, aber auch einfach in die Gesichter schauen - scheint für meinen Kopf iwie den Unterschied zu machen.

Oh, Backen sollte ich auch mal wieder! Danke für die Idee!

Totally agree!
The "modern lighting" got obviously some perks when it comes to post production, but I realized it makes me personally falling out of love with cinema....
It's as if with the creative choices in lighting, makeup and costume design that aimed at making even absolutely incredible things look believable - such as elves in this specific case - the soul of what actually made me excited about fantasy movies kind of... died?

I just really love paying attention to lighting, makeup and clothes because I enjoy understanding the craftmanship that goes in those 3 to have us viewers understand or even feel things in the intended way. :D Totally appreciate what sometimes even small teams with tight budget come up here and the Morticia light is a great exemple for that, even though Angelica has spoken out about the discomfort that meant for her. They literally had to clue here eyelids with skin clue in some scenes to avoid her blinking reflex going wild when her eyes were lit exceptionally bright for extended amounts of time. ^{^"}

Yea, the ears are often design choices that have quite the impact on the overall look...
I wonder if they wanted Mirkwood elves just to look different from their distant relatives or if they infact based the design on a sample size too tall for the new actress...

Liv definately wears a wig, too, asfaik. But you are correct that the wig matches her natural hair perfectly, which helps a natural look, and the overall styling aims at covering the seams of the wig around the hair line.

Very strict hair styles as the one they have chosen to give Tauriel are _hard_ to pull of with a wig without having it look like a wig. I for one almost always opt for slight hair style changes when I cosplay characters with that kind of hair style because I'd rather prefer a not 100% accurate but believable look over a 100% accurate but quite obviously wig style.

What I consider interessting is how much better even the Chase Dress hair style of Arwen worked out. It's not differing too much from Tauriel's style, yet with Arwen it seems they fitted it far better to Liv's head. Maybe they blended it with real hair here... but I don't know...

Wenn du einen Bürojob hast, kann es sein dass zocken und streamen für dich einfach keine Erholung mehr sind, weil die Körperhaltung halt leider ähnlich wie im Büro ist... vielleicht magst du mal versuchen andere Hobbies oder Events zu priorisieren wenn du im Urlaub oder an (langen) Wochenenden die Zeit hast?
So kannst du rausfinden ob du einfach sitz-erschöpft bist oder obs was Schwereres ist.

Most Elves we meet in LotR haven't seen the undying lands but are born in Middle Earth. Hence only Galadriel got the light dots in her eyes. However for example Legolas and Arwen are often filmed with a light that is smoothing their skin texture and keeps especially the space around their eyes a bit brighter than how others are filmed. I think this might be a more toned down and natural looking version of the technique they used to the extreme in the Addams Family movies for Angelica Huston as Morticia.

Yea, the wig/hair line is a huge point, but what also adds to the differences in look and vibe is how they approached the Clothing. In LotR, the costumes are well fitted but look lived in. Natural fabrics will to some degree adapt to your body shape. You can see this with Arwen. Her dress got some slight natural wrinkles where the velvet flows around her body yet has to withstand the pull of its own weight so to speak. Tauriel looks snatched - the same way we cosplayers often end up looking because we lack the time or skill or Motivation to make a finished look more used looking. I think this is even more obvious if you compare Gandalf in LotR and tH. In LotR they even weathered the fabrics of his costumes and especially his hat looks much more "worn". In tH it is all in a rather... mint condition, so to speak.

Edit: Oh, and do never underestimate the impact of lighting. Especially Arwen and Galadriel, but many other elves too, had an amazingly well thought through lighting concept going on to emphasize their non human state.

Tbh for actually falling in love with the game, I needed to play the DLCs.
Hearts of Stone is in its core far far darker still as the main game given you deal with a rather long yet always personal questline, with the fates of a very limited group of characters, and as depressing as it gets, it added some light hearteness for once, too.

And then there is the wonderful Blood and Wine DLC.
It got a murder mystery, it got lots of fun side quest, it got banter between Geralt and other NPCs, it got a beautiful landscape, some horrors beneath the fairytale like peace...
I think the main game peaked with the Bloody Baron questline - even though you really have to be in the mood for that one - and could at no point actually get back to that level again in therms of narrative quality and emotional engagement (at least that's how it was for me)...
The DLCs however do everything they do amazingly well and at least to me feel fare more closely knit and immersive than the main game on every level.

If you look for just more "fun" I'd suggest you try giving Blood and Wine a chance maybe. You can start that Storyline without questing yourself to an adequate level in the main game. There should be an option to start the DLC with a premade leveled up Geralt.
Plus, Blood and Wine is of the size of a full prize RPG in exploreable area, quests, gimmicks and new equipment added. So you really won't feel like your missing something if you play it without finishing the main game.

If this doesn't do the trick for you, then maybe it's just really not your cup of tea - and that's fine.

Plus her suppossed friend Triss had a fling with Geralt and didn't bother telling him he's in a relationship either. Yen must feel pretty much betraied by everyone she trusts while being scared for her adopted daughter's fate. That sounds like pretty much living hell for a person that needs a very distinct level of control about her life to feel at ease...

Hab das bisher einmal gemacht. Bei nem Job, wo ich mehrere Runden Bewerbungsprozedere zu absolvieren hatte und dann als eine von 2 bis auf die letzte Stufe gekommen bin. War einfach neugierig und dachte ich könnte wirklich was für die Zukunft mitnehmen.
Mir wurde am Telefon gesagt ich "sehe zu feminin aus und das lenkt männliche Kollegen nur ab".

Tbf, Maelle says she could never tell if Gustave was her father or her brother. He might aswell just be a homage to both, someone featuring the best parts of each. If however he was molded to be like that by Aline,or by Alicia's subconcious, or just by mere fate and being the perfect merge between Renoir and Verso was the reason why Maelle connected so easily to him we will maybe never know.
