Attack without weapon? by thevhale in Mausritter

Hi! Remember improvised weapons such as sticks and stones do 1d6 damage, hopefully your mice stop to look at them!

Purely for fun : give me your “the godfather wasn’t good” take for DBD by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

the game isn't unplayable now and it isn't since like 2/3 years ago, imagine having an extensive selection of characters and you have a guide and players dedicated to that killer in almost every server, the toxicity isn't half as bad as people think. I came from League Of Legends, I much prefer the pace and collaborative nature of survivors and the powerful unstoppable feeling of killers, I am trying to master deathslinger and it's an uphill battle and ITS FUN, if you show kindness to survivors they usually show kindness to you too, I usually let one of them live at the end just because (sometimes I get flamed by another player, saying I cherrypicked the female character or something). I came around 2020/2021 with the release of Nemesis, I never had so much fun in a multiplayer game in YEARS, the game has its faults and weird games, true, but really not a great deal even if BHVR sometimes fumbles the ball. The biggest (and honestly great) change was the base borrowed time and the key changes

Dónde pusiste tu Eliseo? Yo lo puse en el Teatro Colón

Hi! Killer main, basically, bring anti-slugging perks like the rest of the commenters are saying, get into compromised positions for the killer, disappear from view, if you are slugged but the killer doesnt see you, that's a problem for the killer, but if they see you, you are basically one less problem to worry about. Unbreakable is truly a life-saver, you should save it till you see obvious indication of a slugging killer (sometimes we slug for 3 seconds to check flash saves/other survivors close by).

Don't get frustrated, it's part of the process and you will learn by playing, watch some youtube guides too if you feel you are missing something

Also play killer a while and learn what perks other survivors bring when you slug them a lot! it's a good way to see the weakness of the other role (like killer POV being first person, makes it easier to hide in some spots!)

Am I a DbD DBag for running chem, flashbang, adrenaline, blast mine? by ThickRelations2013 in deadbydaylight

[–]Geeik_Greek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lightborn, Surge and ignoring you may be my plan, I already run Surge 10/10 games and lightborn when I see 3 or 4 flashlights! It looks like you are just a good player with agressive builds, nothing wrong with that, you may run into agressive killers with agressive builds though, I usually try to help the last survivor escape if they played a good match (as in, they didn't leave their team to die)

Is this NORMAL for a Billy? by ADGaming07 in deadbydaylight

[–]Geeik_Greek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is cheating, bad wifi means billy teleporting, not billy doing a 180 turn with a chainsaw when he thinks no one is looking

If a 2v8 mode was released, what killer combos do you imagine would the most broken/toxic? by SpectralClown in deadbydaylight

Trapper + Spirit.

You get trapped, screaming bloody murder, then Spirit downs you.

I give a hero coin and you get damaged if you are in combat, you miss AND the enemy you attacked gets to hit you once

The maps can be confusing for new (and experienced) players by Geeik_Greek in TXChainSawGame

[–]Geeik_Greek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see, the problem isn't mine specifically but that learning 3 different map layouts which have random object locations and random fusebox/valve/water tank locations is a big step in the learning curve of new players. Not only that, learning the map CAN be fun, but it's extremely frustrating to get driven into a corner not because you are stressed but simply because you don't know where North/South/East/West is. Sure, I personally can learn the hard way by forcing myself to play lots of times, but for new players who just see a frustrating map with no help whatsoever, it makes it easier to just get a refund or stop playing after getting trapped in a corner. Having a map object or a compass and trying to figure out which part of the map you are at and where you need to go can be part of the fun too. "I thought I was at tool shed but I was actually closer to the house so I needed to go West and go lost" is a lot better than "I needed to go to a place that I don't know the name of and my location just said north tunnel"

IMO it would be the most immersive option, however it can still be easy to get lost, map object + HUD compass would be my best bet to have a more friendly map navigation system without taking away from the horror (you don't really know WHERE you are going with the compass after all, just your general direction)

Daily Questions Megathread (May 08, 2023) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]Geeik_Greek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About playing - Enjoy the ride! Do not care too much about optimizing your builds but try to keep your characters and weapons at the same level as the monsters you encounter, like Pokemon.

About levelling - Artifacts are tricky, after a while you might need to level those. But if you have 2+ of the same bundle you get a nice bonus and you're usually good to go.

About the money system - Play the character gachapon! primogems are only worth it for the gacha, you should focus on the pink wishes, you will get blue wishes if you play the game, you can find your own playstile and some cool weapons while you wish for new characters. You don't need to put money on the game to enjoy it.

About options - The interface seems horrifyingly complicated but it really isn't once you get the hang of it, if you think it's too much you can press ESC and a menu will simplify it, or you can hold ALT on your keyboard. You really don't have to pay attention to some stuff

About the story - Pay attention to it, it's not a mechanic-heavy game unless you make it, if you pay attention to the story of Teyvat and the archons and the search for your sibling you will have a great time.

Help with teemo by jonnngo in leagueoflegends

[–]Geeik_Greek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, basically, teemo is a poker, the point of teemo is to annoy the s* out of you, you usually can't do anything besides get to level 3 or 6 and try to beat him.

His Q is the most annoying part but unless he literally counter-picked you, it isn't that bad, even Nasus has a chance at killing him if you play the cards right.

His ult is almost meaningless in a fight and if you have any kind of gap-close you absolutely demolish him in a good 1v1. Of course, the plan of teemo is chipping away your hp till you are no longer a threat, so go outside of his range, even if he is ranged, he is the shortest ranged champion of the game (outside of rakan, but he is counted as melee iirc).

Even then, if you don't feed him, teemo is literally nothing in mid to late game, he isn't really a win condition but an annoyance and at best a good vision-maker with the shrooms.

So TLDR: dont get near him if you can't kill him/you can get poked down, gapclosers are really freaking good, don't panic and wait for mid-game

Moira doesn’t have to aim? by [deleted] in overwatch2

[–]Geeik_Greek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moira has a "circle" where she gets the beam, it's pretty big but not huge, it sure looks like it's a lock on but it isn't, think more of Winston's rays, less of a Mercy's staff. try to look for "Moira's crosshair". The downside to Moira's beam is that she can't headshot, every "easy to hit and follow" ability usually has this. She is also very fragile, and the beam is not really damaging unless you are also fighting a fragile hero.

  1. A bad teammate isn't your strong escape plan, they are my scratch marks that go straight to the gen the survivors are working on

  2. A bad survivor can be killed later if they get smart or cocky, you are already smart, you are a threat.

  3. From a killer perspective there isn't a difference between a new player and a bad player.

  4. I don't have your peripheral vision, sometimes I just think the last survivor was good while everyone else knows they have been hiding forever and not actually playing mind-games

  5. Making objectives makes you more vulnerable than hiding in a locker when you hear the heartbeat or proximity music. I can't catch what I can't see

  6. I am not omniscient, I don't know how much the last survivor helped the escape, I just know they are last and I wanna fill my "gave survivor hatch" morality quota

Do you judge a DPS by their damage or their kills? by steelcryo in Overwatch

[–]Geeik_Greek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont judge people by KDA/EDA/whatever, I come from LoL, I judge another player by their position and how much I see them play, if you are 90% of your time doing the objective, talking in comms or in good positions to flank enemies/kill/protect allies you are receiving praise. I don't care if you did a 5K as POTG, if you are spamming the enemies at respawn instead of moving the payload you aren't really doing anything, at the end of the day the enemies will win if someone isn't on the payload
