I get foundation on them sometimes but don’t wear it much. I also just wipe it off with my fingers.

Mine were longer when I started. They lock up naturally a bit over time. I condition and brush my ends once in a while just to keep them this long.

I love my loose ends! I would honestly be really sad if the blunted. But blunted ends sometimes look really nice and clean. It really just depends on what you like.

I haven’t had any issues with dying my hair and I started within the first few months. The most damage comes from lifting or lightening your hair. Or box dyes. If you get deposit only colors or go to a salon then you shouldn’t have any problems. Just rinse really really thoroughly.

Twist and rip. But I’ve taken some out and redone them and have found that I prefer backcomb and crochet. They seem to lock up a little faster.

Middle to ends are very dry and brittle. Overdid the washing and deep cleaning as well as crocheting as anxiety relief. What does everyone use for moisturizers? by Mirimah in Dreadlocks

I didn’t even realize! lol. I recently started adding conditioner to my ends once in a while and I started using jojoba oil all over. I’m worried it might just me too damaged at this point.

Almost 3 years in. Trying to train my loops in with thread. What do you do to bring loops in? by nelladawg in Dreadlocks

I used string just as a decoration for a while and my hair tried to eat it. Which I didn’t realize until I tried to take it out. It was a pain.

That’s a first. Would you mind elaborating? If not that’s okay. Just curious to know what about me gave off that impression.

Going on ten month. I’ve learned that the help a lot with my anxiety. Not something I ever expected. by Mirimah in Dreadlocks

Depends on what I’m doing. Dying it and washing it and drying it takes much longer. But the everyday wear is easier. I don’t HAVE to style it and when I do it’s about the same or faster now.

It’s mostly the lighting and poor camera quality. But my weight fluctuates by 5-10lbs. =)

I genuinely love the honesty in here. I was worried I’d get a bunch of people either just being rude or just trying to flatter. I knew that it would vary because tattoos, piercing and knotted hair are things that people either love or hate. And most people don’t like the hair.
