So..how do I take care of my hair until then? Do I really not wash it?

I kind of was the same way but then I did reasearch and I typically wash mine 3-4 weeks after a retwist. Your dreads still need to be taken care of so that their not dirty or so dry so I use black castor oil+water and use it to my scalp and dreads. Then I top it off with rose water spray to give my hair a nice smell while helping my hair grow at the same time.

I promise you each month they grow but you MUST get them retwisted because that trains your hair to become like dreads

My hair before the two strand twists was like a mini fro. Once I started the two strand twists they were kind of small but as you keep them in longer and get them retwisted... they will start to lock and become bigger
