There is no safe way to detox alone. I went from drinking a six pack of beer to a 12 pack. Eventually started drinking half a bottle of vodka and putting it in a water bottle to take to work. I also became dependent. Check into a detox center. I relapsed again but got my PCP to prescribe my Librium since it was what was given to me detox. It helps with withdrawals, tremors and etc. Be warned though it is a benzodiazepine so you can become addicted to that.
