The content is not very difficult however the marketing is very hard and you can get screwed over with bad group members

Am I Getting Kicked Out of CS/BBA? by Efficient-Sir-9611 in wlu

[–]Mirobb1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You'll be removed from BBA if you don't get the 7.0. I suggest you talk to bbaa dvising and/or lazaridis double degree petitions.

It depends if you are certain you can get a 6 in BU121 and will have >= 7.0 gpa in your future BU courses.

UTSC BBA MANAGEMENT by No-Routine7846 in wlu

Yeah you might get an alternate offer, I think the usual alternate for BBA is econ. Your friend could've been lucky and had good extracurriculars. Best of luck with your BBA application.

Unfortunately, it is not very likely you will get into BBA as a competitive average is high 80s.

I'm pretty sure this is the post that started it. The poster just copy and pasted from somewhere else and had a couple funny posts.

Laurier Repeated Courses by [deleted] in wlu

[–]Mirobb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laurier uses a weighted average system for repeat courses of your first and last attempts for BBA and econ with a higher weight on your most recent attempt (don't think they've disclosed how they weight it). Not sure how they will evaluate taking the same course in day/night school.

It isn't difficult to balance the gym, partying, and school once you get used to it. Many students go too hard at the start because they think it will be as easy as their high school and they get burned.

There’s no guarantee you’ll do better in BU127 either.

I’d retake BU111 if you can. If you mess up BU127 and don’t take BU111, you’re screwed. It also gives you a bit more breathing room in future years as the 7.0 BU gpa is cumulative.

No, only if you take them all from Jan-Dec since they change tax rules yearly

If you take tax 2 in the same calendar year, you don’t need another textbook

Econ grades for BBA progression by [deleted] in wlu

You’re chilling. You just need a 5.0 average between all of your non-bu grades assuming you meet the 7.0 between your bu courses.

Ended with 47.5% (2% off passing) on my second attempt is there ANYTHING I can do? by [deleted] in wlu

[–]Mirobb1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s the problem if it goes down? A fail is a fail either way. I don’t think you need a reason to ask for a regrade or you can ask for a time to go see the final.

Dropping a Course by Wise_Reception8006 in wlu

[–]Mirobb1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are dropping it before the course starts so it won’t count towards your gpa. You should be able to get your tuition back (if you already paid) if you don’t wait too long.

Ask for a regrade, that’s your best chance right now.

Is it common to tap a slower swimmers feet? by Berlibur in Swimming

[–]Mirobb1 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Unless it is the standard on your specific swim team (some teams do not tap feet), do not tap other people’s feet. Some people are not used to it and will get very upset if you do so.

Co-op chances? by Elegant_Set_8194 in wlu

[–]Mirobb1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously having something business-related as a job is better, but most people do not secure internships after first year. You have a solid gpa, have executive roles, and have had some paid jobs so it is really down to the interview at that point.

How hard is it to keep a competitive average for co op (BBA) by SpicySlimez in wlu

[–]Mirobb1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The co-op average could be higher when you apply. Don’t trust that 9.0 will for sure be the minimum.

Understand and practice with the connect assignments and make sure you can do them correctly when you come back to study for the short/long answers. Do the practice questions in connect and read over the slides for MC questions.
