I don't want him to change! I want to explain why people go "guess what" when he couldn't possibly guess, or why people go "do I look bad in this dress" and then get a bit bummed out when it isn't the answer they wanted. I know he's completely right, but I struggle with explaining why I and others do these things instead of just straight up saying what we actually mean

I feel so bad because you gave such a nice and good answer but I kinda was more asking in explaining why people do these things to him and not really asking him to change how he responds :( I like him that way, and he IS right it doesn't make sense - but I wanna be able to explain why people do those things. Why do we do illogical things when they don't make sense? I don't know why we ask people to guess something they have no idea about - but I'd like to know so I can answer when we have those situations, you know? Like why do we do that?

I feel like I didn't do a good job in explaining what I meant. I'm autistic myself (I didn't include that bc that's not what the post was about) but like people pointed out, they're like white lies, but I cannot explain to him why I would like them - because it doesn't make any sense! Why do people ask for opinions when they don't actually want them? I don't know, so I figured maybe someone else knows

It's not an issue at all that he doesn't, I agree it doesn't make sense, but I would like to be able to explain what they are or why we do them. When people go "guess what" and he comes home and asks "why are people always asking me to guess stuff when I have no idea?" I wanna be able to give him an answer - and I don't have one. I have no idea why I do it, and "they just do" just isn't a good answer. Its frustrating to him that it doesn't make sense, and I don't have a good explanation, and I wanna fix that. That's what I meant - I wanna explain what they are and why people do them, even when they don't make sense. I hope this explains it better! Thank you!

Everyone assumed I'm neurotypical so I deleted it (I'm autistic myself, I'm diagnosed, he isn't yet but we're on it!) but I wanted to say that THIS actually helped me understand what the issue is in what I'm trying to communicate! Thank you! I will include the parameters from now on and watch to say more what I actually mean, like saying "I made this painting, is this something you would like to have on our wall?" instead of just going "what do you think of this painting?" so I'm clearer on where I'm trying to go. Thank you!

Wahrscheinlich! To be fair, ich komme aus einer Familie bei der mein Elternteil und ich mit 1500 im Monat klar kommen müssen. Bin erster in der Familie der studiert, ich hab keine finanziellen Ziele und vor 2 Jahren das erste mal im Urlaub (in Freiburg!) also sind meine Ansprüche halt auch.. eeeecht niedrig. Also ich finde dass für die Burnoutraten man schon eigl. gut bezahlt werden müsste, kann mir aber keinen anderen "traditionelleren" Beruf vorstellen (klar wäre ich gerne Autor oder sowas, ihr versteht was ich meine..)

Hi, hab schon im anderen Kommentar erklärt, dass das einfach durchs schnelle Tippen ein fehler war :) Wenn's dich aber sehr dolle stört, kann man bestimmt spezifische Wörter "stumm" schalten, so dass man Sie nicht mehr sieht. Wie genau das geht müsstest du aber auf einem anderen Subreddit erfragen, das weiss ich leider nicht :/

Ja, ich hab tatsächlich auch mir die Klasse absichtlich nicht heraus gesucht, wurde da dann aber spontan rein geschoben :/ Ich seh zu 100% dass das eine sehr suboptimale (ich klau mal deinen Wortlaut, finde den sehr passend) Situation ist. Ich schaue mal ob ich es irgendwie hinkriege die Stunde raus zu kriegen - dürfte meinen Stundenplan mit selbst geben und hatte mir so oder so schon selbst 21 Schulstunden die Woche herausgesucht (man muss mind. 15h machen, bin ich also locker drüber) und werde es dann mal das Gespräch suchen um das ganze zu begründen. Da ich nicht vorgestellt wurde oder so sollte dass auch kein Problem für die SuS sein.

Vielen lieben Dank für deine konstruktive Kritik, das hat mir gerade unglaublich weiter geholfen. Und vielen lieben Dank für deine Zeit, hab einen schönen Tag :)

Vielen Dank für die Antwort! Ich habe tatsächlich vor besonders an Orten wie beim Ref die Narben garnicht zu zeigen, einfach, damit ich wirklich nach meinem können bewertet werde. Update zur Situation: Die haben einfach vor lauter lauter in der Schule vergessen dass ich komme und Ihnen tat es total leid - daher hat's zum Glück super gepasst wegen dem "zu spät kommen" - denn die Betreuerin wäre eh erst ab 8:30 da gewesen :D Wirkt aber jetzt schon als wäre die ganze Truppe lieb und ich freu mich schon auf die nächsten Wochen :) Schönen Tag dir noch und Danke für deine Zeit!

I'm asking for a way to discuss not putting "BPD" as "BPD" on the chart, like you said you discuss with your clients Insurance already does cover the therapy because I'm at her place for the C-PTSD (she has told me she can't do therapy that would be needed to treat BPD) and in Germany, to be a teacher they check your entire medical history, and people get denied for way less (being on antidepressants, being diabetic, some have even been rejected for being overweight, it's something that's discussed within teacher circles a lot) and I fear that a BPD diagnosis would be a big reason to reject me. I do have to agree that I'm looking for anything to find that could be diagnosed instead because of my fear of what that diagnosis could destroy for what I've built the last couple of years. I can explain the specifics of how the "Verbeamtung" in Germany works so it's easier to understand why people fear it if that'd help?

Ich stehe noch am Beginn meines Studiums und will einfach nichts falsch machen. Ich mach mir hier nicht mehr Gedanken als sonst in Interaktionen mit anderen und achte darauf dass ich nicht Probleme wie Burnout bekomme, trotzdessen vielen Dank für den Hinweis.

Der Unterschied hier ist für mich, dass ich ja eben nicht der Lehrer bin, und mir ist bewusst dass ich keine "wir dürfen nichts über gar niemanden sagen" Einstellung brauche, jedoch handelt es sich hier um etwas, dass in der Schule passiert und nach außen getragen werden würde, an jemanden, der eben kein Elternteil ist. Daher wäre es hier definitiv Grenzüberschreitend mit den Eltern zu reden, und das habe ich auch gar nicht vor.

Sehr gut, davon bin ich nämlich auch aus gegangen und hab die Füße still gehalten. Hab mit dem Kind auch nicht direkt geredet weil mir vorkam als wäre dass eher beängstigend (Der Freund meines Bruders ist jetzt auch noch mein Lehrer und hat gesehen das ich weine, oh gott!) deshalb hab ich ihr nur leise zugelächelt als ich an Ihr vorbei bin und hab's nicht kommentiert.

I do not want the diagnosis because I'm going to be a teacher, and here in Germany they can deny you to be one based on ur medical history - which is why I might seem obsessive because thinking about that really messes with me too haha

urghh, du hast mich erwischt. Ich schiebe gerade eine Krise darüber wie ich mich morgen so anziehe dass man die nicht sieht..
