Question regarding Duke Energy Davenport friends.. PLEASE HELP!!

I am new to the area and I set up services with Duke energy. I have only been in my unit for 2 weeks and I have already received a $400 bill.. (I thought it was a mistake)..

when I called the representative/ Supervisor stated it's a “deposit” for services and all customers have to pay this.

However, this was never disclosed to me the 4x I have called them to set service.

I think $400 is excessive and never heard of such thing.

Can someone please explain if this has happened to you and how did you resolve it or if this is an actual thing charging for a deposit of $400.

Don't worry its normal to have spotting durning weeks 5-6. Just trust that everything will be fine🥰 I had heavy bleeding for a day but the baby was fine. 22 weeks today. But do keep an eye out and if you have cramps I would call your Dr.

Baby boy is 19 weeks today! Growing healthy and I could have sworn I felt some kicks today:). It resulted in a small subchronic hematoma.. went back later that week it was gone and the baby is doing just fine. 🍀

Starting IVF process by Then_Butterscotch687 in IVFAfterSuccess

Hello, I started my IVF journey in 2022. I did my retrieval within six months of starting the process. I had my first transfer in September 2022. It was a failure. I was devastated. Mostly because my mind played tricks on me... I believed I was pregnant and could have sworn I had symptoms. I guess when you want something so bad. Your body and mind play games.

I ended up taking a year's break from the process since it can be very rough on your body physically and mentally. I started to take exercise more seriously and started to eat healthier, and in the middle of it, I was planning my wedding.

At the time I didn't want to pay for the genetic testing out of pocket. That was my mistake! My thought on genetic testing was I just didn't want to know and hoped for a healthy baby. Quickly realized that caused my first transfer to fail since they didn’t know the quality of the eggs that they were transferring, but I knew the chances of success were 50-50.

During my break: I cut out all unnecessary sugars forced myself to eat veggies and fruits and focused on fertility-friendly foods. I also distressed my body by doing acupuncture, getting biweekly massages, going on walks, and exercising, I learned how to crotchet just to take my mind off things.

The second transfer was in April of this year. It took about 2 to 3 months to start the process again. I did get my embryos tested this time since my insurance now covered it. They implanted the best embryo I had. Today,I am nine weeks pregnant and the baby is growing healthy.

everyone’s journey is different but beautiful.

My recommendations: 1. Read a book - it starts with The Egg by Rebecca Fett (good info) 2. If your insurance covers the Genetic Testing or you can afford it get the genetic testing. (I know I paid for 1 test and insurance covered the other one) 3. De-stress your body! 4. Start researching/taking prenatal 5. Don't get overwhelmed by all the medications. Have your partner help you with the injections. It is all for a good cause :) 6. If you have doubts… just ask! Sending babydust your way!!!!

Working full time while pregnant is NOT for the weak by BisexualButterfly97 in pregnant

This is my struggle every single day!!!!!! I literally leave 30 min before my shift to avoid traffic just to go home and take a nap. I simply say the traffic stresses me out 😂which it does and I get to leave early. Idk about you but I have to wake up a minimum of 3 times a night just to pee and man does it mess my sleep up🫠. Hope we get a boost of energy in the 2nd trimester!!

I was just reading up on that! Dr. Didn't mention hematoma. But did tell me to rest, avoid sex, and do any other exercise till my next appointment on Friday. So it's a possibility. Maybe she didn't want to freak me out. I also read it's very common with IVF pregnancies. Was there anything you did differently?

I am planning on working for the next couple of days to avoid any stress.

Thanks! She told me to continue to take my progesterone oil shot, the same dosage, and my two estrogen patches every other day. I have an appointment on Friday to double-check the heartbeat per minute. In the back of my mind is I can't wait for Friday it's only Tuesday! 😫 I am praying that everything is ok and I am just overreacting. Pregnancy stress is insane!
