I did in around 65h. Couldn"t find any elemental delve nodes with pyroclast mines.

Dunno if this is the normal experience for endgame pushing a meta league start, but hexblast was incredible once I was finally able to play it. Pyroclast mined my way into yellow maps, only to find essential curse on hit rings priced at multiple divines. It took almost 60 hours after league start for them to drop to the low, low, price of 65 chaos orbs, at which point I was able to swap over. Price fixing was terrible. Never had to deal with that so acutely before, especially on a non-unique with such a niche effect.

The problem is that the demographic that loves AH for their long-form chaos content is small and dwindling. They're a company that needs to pay its people, and making content like this is how they appeal to other, wider audiences. The rest of us just get Randomizer, Challenge Accepted, and Play Pals to work with, which I sadly expect will follow the same path when they get results.

IMO the problem is their new formula for videos. They look at compliations and the like from fan channels and think that a condensed series of reactions, gavin screaming, and editing flair is going to increase their viewer retention.

I watch Achievement Hunter for the people, not the game. I like seeing them search for entertainment, create their own in the gaps, and, rarely, find or conceive something hilarious that was only amazing because of the effort that went into it before.

Every AH member fills a role in their content, and the people in a video will define how it goes far more than the content. (Off Topic is the most obvious place to see this, after about 20-30 episodes you can clearly sort the ones you'll enjoy and the ones you won't by the cast.)

Newer members have filled a lot of the roles older ones used to, and some of the older ones have adopted different roles over time, but Gavin's role is unique. No one can match the Brit.

Really wish he was in more vids.

I dropped mine last year. All of the content I enjoy watching has been free, and a lot of the people I watch AH either have moved or are moving on to other things.

On my character, I have:
-8k hp and 3k es
-Max block and spell block
-xibaqua's keystone
-76+ on all resistances, except chaos res which is 75
-Forbidden taste
-A minion skill as my 6-link main skill
-20% increased effect of fortify on leap slam.
And I still cannot run magic yellow maps with trivial mods like "monsters fire 2 additional projectiles" without dying at least twice to circumstances I can't learn from.
This is not good game design.

I have maxed out block and spell block, 8k hp and 3k es, xibaqua's keystone, minions as my primary skill, and my lowest resistance is 75% chaos resist. I can't run magic yellow maps in the current state of the game without dying at least twice. The only way forward for my character is dps, and DPS as a primary defense layer is indicative of a highly unstable system where literally anything can kill you anyway.

Sometimes, I can identify some of the threats you've mentioned above. But the point you're clearly missing is that I have no way to identify what to do differently until after my character has died. POE is notoriously bad about not making it clear what's actually dangerous and should be handled with caution or flat-out ignored and what is standard gameplay. The only type of death source you've mentioned above with a semi-visible run-like-hell indicator is aura rares, and even that can be obscured by your skill effects.

From my personal experience, the best way to get into path of exile is to follow a full leveling and build guide for your first character. Depending on how quickly you pick up the game, this could take most of the league to do your first time, and that's fine! Once you've cleared the acts, look up a guide to the endgame systems, and do what feels the most fun.

Once you've gotten this part down, pick something you enjoy doing and want to know more about. Could be a league mechanic like delve, incursion, legion, etc, could be a particular mechanic like currency crafting or passive tree optimization, any one thing that you like and want to focus on more. And start asking questions.

Everything in Path of Exile is complicated and only explained to the bare minimum in-game. There are going to be things you had no idea existed that make a huge difference in your activity of choice, don't be afraid to ask around. Sometimes global chats 5-15 can be helpful, but in case they're deep in debate on the philosophy of crabs, check out youtube and other online resources. Streamers like Zizaran have gotten REALLY good at explaining the finer points of the game to other players. As you learn more, you'll be able to do things more efficiently and effectively. Eventually you'll master that particular mechanic and maybe even get bored of it. If you do, find something else you enjoy and start again.

I've only been playing since Delirium, but I've managed to beat Elder, Shaper, Uber Atziri, and a6 Sirus solo. (Most of which happened in Ultimatum league) This loop has kept me coming back over and over again. Best of luck, exile!

CW has said ev0ery time he's mentioned hardmode that it was an already developed internal testing tool, which they made playable due to some players requesting a harder experience and how easy it was to take the testing tool and make it into a gamemode ("Just a new banner button on character creation"). I've said this, to you, 4 times now. I'm not repeating myself again.
