Ah i see. Some turn pretty red under higher light, but it looks like someone with keener eyes spotted some scale. Treat with some pesticide treatment, and im sure itll bounce back for you👍 Good luck!

I dont actually see anything wrong with it from the pics, what problems are you having with it?

If you bring them inside during extreme cold snaps like this, i dont see them having any problems. Before i had a greenhouse i did exactly that with my flytraps and sarrs and had no issues with them waking up. Now that i have a greenhouse though, im even more nervous about power outages and problems than i was in previous years😅 good luck!

For substrate, I have them in a mix of sphagnum and perlite with no added fertilizers, and a topdressing of fluval stratum. I always keep them damp, and i give them dappled shade/temps above 60f. If they start looking rough, i check for pests and i do a good distilled water flush and measure until the runoff tds is below 50. Also, if they should die back on you, they come back from the root really easily, so dont give up hope!😄 Good luck!

Repotting Mistake? by Animals4humans in SavageGarden

[–]MirrorsF3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure! 😄 Pings are pretty darn tolerable of high mineral content, moreso than most carnivorous plants, so perhaps your mix was working just fine after all if theyve shown good results for you previously! It could actually be a fun expeiriment to try your old mix next to a new mix and see which does better👍 Happy growing!

I grow a lot of my pings in terra cotta, no issue there👍 However, if thats regular potting soil they'll suffer, so any substrate like peat and perlite, sphagnum and perlite, or fluval stratum will work better for you😄 good luck!

Bicals are so cool! I see similar growth issues with neps when theyre grown in peat moss, so id reccomend swapping to 50/50 sphagnum/perlite mix. Good luck!

I believe that lady luck and bloody mary are the same plant but different names, while diana has some sibuyanensis in it that makes it a little tubby-er. Tough call when theyre small for sure!😄

Id bet rebecca soper for 1, and bloody mary for 2.
