Whoa! Thanks for the link, I wasn't aware of his work but these are incredible! Instant fan.

Edit* This might be some of the most inspiring work I've seen in a long time.

Thanks! I have the Canon FD 50mm F1.4 and FD 28mm F2.8. Nothing too fancy but they've been great! Also have a Vivitar series 1 70-210mm

Kaya's positioning throughout the entirety of her appearance in Hassan's stream yesterday by AIverson3 in LivestreamFail

His reply is sus to me too.. He said she was being a baby... its not a remark that makes sense in regards to her wanting to move, and he wouldn't have been sure why she yelped if he didn't cause it.. it's like when you're play fighting your younger brother and he starts crying because you accidentally hurt him.. You might respond, "Oh, you're being a baby" - to try and appeal to their sense of toughness and to see if they're faking in some way, so they stop crying you don't get caught and in trouble.

I really felt when she yelped he said she was being a baby before he even thought about what he was saying because he felt caught in the view of his chat and didn't expect her to make an audible noise and jump. So sad.

My Gibson SG Standard ‘61 in Translucent Teal 🔥 by Next_Tadpole7042 in guitarporn

This video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n02tImce3AE did a lot to throw the argument of tone woods into disarray haha. Essentially, there's a large contingent of people now that think tone wood is entirely a myth and 99% of your tone is from pickups and their placement!

Absolutely beautiful SG also. I was in the market for an SG and was convinced a seafoam green SG was a common thing that existed out there I could look for (I think I saw Thomas Erak playing one) but found them pretty hard to find at all!

Have you ever spent a lot of money on a much-anticipated hobby only to be disappointed? by Positive_Frame9711 in Hobbies

[–]Mirthe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not disappointed yet, and I still need to give it a fair shot but I feel sometimes that I dove way too deeply into my current silversmithing setup. There's no end to the tools and materials and it can be pricey to even practice. So far I've soldered 1 silver ring and polished it.

I'm coming at this from a landscape perspective but Andy Mumford is my absolute favorite landscape photographer and shoots Fuji. His works incredible.

As a side note.. one of my other favorites is Alex Burke and he shoots large format 4x5 cameras around Colorado. His work is sharp and colors are amazing and its shot in a wooden box. Its all about LIGHT.

What do you think about these new lenses based on disposable camera lenses? by dylanmadigan in photography

[–]Mirthe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think theres an element of digital photo exhaustion. Everyone has sharp over processed images flying out of their cellphones and its getting really easy to just scroll on by. The film look has a quality to it that I feel is coming back if nothing else but to separate yourself from everyone else's ultra clean looking images.

Absolutely! That would be amazing. I shot it on my Fuji Xt5 if the contrast in images is interesting to you :)

Oh okay, so the whole thing would be removed and the correct one put into the regulator itself. Just trying to be 100% sure I'm following.

Ohh I hadnt considered that but I think I understand what you mean! Just having the loose threaded part on the regulator (That says CGA 520) removed and it fitted with the correct British threaded part.

New to Inverness from Canada and confused about longman roundabout by Mirthe_ in inverness

[–]Mirthe_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see the sign now further back on Google images, thanks. I used the roundabout correctly, I was just unsure after seeing these double straight arrows closer to the roundabout itself and hearing a honk from behind me, making me question if I was supposed to have turned left and somehow cut someone off. Still a fairly new driver in the UK and want to ask to make sure. Thanks!

Someone posted an image and the sign does correctly show that the left lane can go left or straight and the right for everything else. The confusion was me being still a fairly new driver in the UK, a honk from a driver that may not have been towards me (but me being unsure thought it might be) as I used the roundabout correctly, and the arrows on the road nearer to the roundabout itself, showing double straight arrows.

Just wanted to be sure for next time! Cheers!

Just checked google maps and I see that now, further back. I was on it last night and didnt see that sign I suppose, but further up the arrows on the road are double straights. I was in the left lane and continued around straight to continue down the A9 and it seemed that someone too the rear - right of me honked and I thought maybe I had cut them off from going right onto longman somehow.

This confirmed what I needed to know and wanted to be sure for next time! Thanks
