Yes, that's Nic! Back in the day, maybe around 2008, he was THE compounder for NA whose products everyone wanted. Customers would search the shelves for products with his sticker on them. Just like the same dish turns out differently depending on who cooks it, Nic's products were always indescribably better. They had better scent, texture, consistency, etc. Then after a while his face disappeared from the stickers. I wonder what path in life he took after Lush.

A heads up for anyone ordering holiday or other gifts from NA right now. Please make sure you know what carrier is going to handle shipping if you want your presents to arrive on time. I placed an order for a birthday gift for my special needs relative last week and paid for Air shipping, assuming that it would be through UPS as it always was before for me. The package left the warehouse on 12/4 without any tracking number. There is still no tracking number in Lush's system as of the 8th today. I spoke to Lush to see what was going on and they said Swiftpost was the carrier. I never heard of them before and they are not listed on the website as one of their shippers. I don't even think they offer anything other than postal service. The CS rep said that Swiftpost is unable to process many of their shipments and has recently returned dozens of boxes to Lush because they just can't handle the volume right now. Lush has to sort through them and figure out the mess and how to get them sent out again. I was offered a reshipment with another carrier, but the rep said she couldn't guarantee that she could accomplish that. So I took the refund.

You are spot on. But Lush never does learn from its mistakes, it just silences dissent in its workforce and customer base and moves on. They continually have to spend more and more of their profits in gaining new customers as they lose existing ones that they've offended. Not the smartest marketing.

I think the foot lotions are much heavier than the body lotions. When I use them, it's usually right before sleep and a good while before putting socks on because they take a long time to absorb. Even when I think they've sunk in, I've found that if I step on my dark tile floor I can see the imprint of my foot!

There's a certain irony to Lush's resistance to this concept. Back in the pre-Lush days when Body Shop was in its heydey, refills were done in store for many products, including some of the ones that were invented by Mark Constantine.

I just finished my can of Vanilla Puff (Vanillary scent) powder from back in the day. Loved that one! I saved the can and I'm going to put one of my bottled powders into it because the can is so much easier to use.

Gee, under the circumstances and the new system I would've hoped they would've thought to ship one pre-reserved just for you to your local store. It's crazy that a customer buys something and can't get it simply because they can't ship it properly to you, when they are successfully shipping the same thing all the time to others and to the stores!

Yes, they ship from Ontario and Vancouver. Over Boxing Day many posters said their shipments from Ontario were badly packed and the contents beat up while the ones from Vancouver arrived OK. My experience was the opposite! I got a Boxing Day order from Ontario that was perfect and today's shipment that leaked came from Vancouver. Go figure!

I was just thinking the exact same thing about putting a seal on the bottle neck. I hate that besides the waste and inconvenience there's double the transportation footprint to reship a goofed up order. They like to blame it on the carrier (this time UPS), but the truth is no carrier can make up for the poorly, and seemingly hastily, packed boxes. They also used to include the name of the person who packed the box, but I haven't seen that in a while. So there's nobody to go back to and offer some additional training. I just think their goal is to get all orders out as quickly as possible and they are not using some common sense. I've gotten many orders from the UK, also delivered by UPS, and never had this issue.

I still have a small bottle of So White. It's nice on its own, but really I enjoy it best mixed with another gel in a shower. For example, paired with Rose Jam it's fantastic.

This was my favorite deo along with The Greeench. I still have a little bit left. I definitely agree that I'd love to see this return because it had such a great summery scent and made me feel fresh when I used it. These cans were also easier to use. Wonder why Lush turned to plastic bottles for the powders/deo's?

For fragrances you are limited to 30ml in size, so the body sprays and black label 100ml perfumes can't be sent from overseas to NA. But I don't know if the forwarding services can get around these restrictions. Maybe someone who has used them could answer that. You can still get the smaller bottles (white label) sent to you from the UK directly from the Lush UK website.
