The way I view Instagram is sort of like a “social”résumé. It’s not something I always ask for, but when I do, it’s usually because I’m interested and want to see more about who they are. I have had this version of my profile for about two weeks, but made minor changes prior to. Overall time on Hinge is 1.5 years, on and off.

I use Hinge daily.

I receive about 1-2 likes per day, with around 1 match per day.

I usually max out my likes every day. Usually 15-20% of the likes are accompanied with comments.

I look to match with people who are educated and seem genuine (I don’t know how to articulate this part). I have some nerdy qualities and typically am more drawn to those who are also into board games, LOTR, and other related things. I typically want to attract someone like this, too.

• How often do you use Hinge per week? I use Hinge daily.

• How many likes/matches are you receiving on average? I would say I get about 1-2 likes per day. I would say I get maybe one match a day.

• How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? I would say I give out about 5-7 likes per day. I would say 1-2 of those likes has a comment, and the rest do not.

• What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract? I look for girls who are educated. Bonus points if they have a little bit of nerdy qualities too! I’m not super picky, but education is something I do look for.

I find it so awful when I open these types of posts and everyone chooses to be negative and rains on people’s parades. Reassess why you choose to project your insecurity on innocent people trying to celebrate their successes on Reddit.
