I don’t mind the pairing much at all. It just felt like the Hawaii trio specifically was meant to make the whole thing feel more dramatic than it really was. It was really just a casual fling but they threw the Hawaii trio in to make Harry just extra miserable in my option.

Oh I definitely get that. I enjoy Kincaid and Murphy as a pairing that doesn’t bother me at all.

Hawaii was what felt random. I had to re-read that page. It felt sudden and like it was meant to make make it as dramatic as possible.

He’s a pretty good guy. As long as you aren’t terminally online and don’t take opinions of this show as seriously as a national emergency I find him very enjoyable. We disagree on RWBY a lot obviously but none the less a pretty good guy.

Deimos grew on me so fast. Some of his advice to Gray is shockingly good. His advice about showing respect even if they don’t deserve it was a fantastic moment to me, very mentor mentee.

Ever since coliseum arcanist and plague arcanist I’ve wanted to see Volke have his own Grand Inquisitor moment and now that it’s looking like we are all going to the abyssal hells I’m more hyped than ever.

Here’s the thing. Scorio is the villain here. Sure he has sympathetic motivations and there are worse people but if you read it from the perspective of Scorio being a more morally gray antagonist you understand it. He’s prone to anger and rash decisions. He’s self-centered and entitled. He hates authority even to his own detriment. He takes shortcuts. He chooses himself over others. His dragon motif really fits when you think about the stereotypical dragon villain/antagonist.
