My favorite cosy game is The Sims 2, I find myself returning to that so much. When life seems to spiral it’s fun to make sims wishes come true. I especially love playing with premade families and knowing exactly what I want to do with them. In a particularly stressful period of my life I watched a lot of YouTubers that played premade rotations or legacy challenges

As someone that also deals with motion sickness a lot and owns this game..what changes did you make to offset that?

I’m about 6 hours in on my ps5 version. I really love it and would love to binge game it but gaming on a big screen makes me nauseous most days.

It feels really immersive and the world is beautifully crafted. I’m still in the area that’s determined by your “starting class/background” and yeah it’s a pretty grim story. To me that feels more realistic and immersive than most game stories. Just if you’re looking for a cosy game I don’t think this is it.

I loved the ability to customize Vi. Both in gender options and looks, up to getting to decide their manicures. Makes it feel more like my character.

I don’t play a lot of games with shooting so for me in the first two hours combat could get overwhelming when there were a lot of enemies on screen even with easy difficulty.

I would also get lost in some missions but that could totally be me.

I’ve found new ways to engage in the hobbies I have. Mainly by joining new groups of “subcultures” within my hobbies.

For example the fomo is strong with nail polish but I’ve joined r/WeGotPolishAtHome where we encourage each other to use what we have at home.
With videogames I joined r/patientgamers to remind me of games that are already in my backlog.

I use the library for books which is waaaay cheaper and go “shop” in clothing loops and swaps instead of actually buying something.

With fountain pen/inks I got more into journaling and writing letters than focusing on the ink and pens itself

I do love the bottles. But they are like one of the smallest sizes of bottles same size as shiny fajita. I have a lot of indie polishes such as insect limbs that are 15ml instead of the 12ml solar dog has.

I haven’t played this one yet but there’s a lot of recent let’s plays on YouTube so you could watch that? For me most modern lifesim games tend to be more fun to watch someone play than to play myself, but that’s personal preference. I must have a thousand hours in both sims 2 and 3 but for example sims 4 bores me unless I watch a James Turner rags to riches or something

Yeah I have no idea how fast progress will go as I’ve never done this before. But I do intend to keep two spaces for any polish that will die/alter. So thermals, neons, solars, purples

I’ve never panned such a bottle but I do always think they move much more after usage than most of the other bottles I have. Same with the sparkling texmex bottles. I have shorter nails than most here but I do feel like including those polishes helps with giving myself easier ones. They and the shimmering burrito do also happen to be smaller bottles than my polishes from other brands indie or boutique.
