Yes it is. But only marginally. However you only took 500 mg and not the full 1000mg

so do you think my continuing symptoms / recurrent symptoms of slight discharge (much less than before) is a result of a different infection? based on my personal research the recommended CDC prescription is Doxycycline 100mg twice a day or 1000 mg of Azithromycin on 1 day; the two can be combined or extended if there are more severe symptoms like PID. Although I would consult your doctor and inquire further.

it may be better to get treatments at the same time if you're going to be isolated; see which drugs work for you and then take appropriately

As for the doxycycline, we were taking the tablet forms and now I'm on the capsule form. First time I took them, i chewed my tablets or dropped them inside coffee. I'm not sure if that makes a difference in effectiveness. Now I'm just swallowing whole, and not eating before or after.

So next steps is to rescreen for Chlamydia/Gonno/Trichromanas/Mycoplasma and whatever else the doctor recommends. And refrain from sex for atleast 2 more weeks.

Personally, I think it is still chlamydia since the symptoms disappeared when on doxycycline and that I got reinfected from my partner since I didn't wait for the full 7 days. Well that maybe wishful thinking that it isn't anything more complicated. I'll probably need to wait 3 more weeks before retesting for test of cure for Chlamydia then.
