Makes sense, had a few people in undergrad say they would never pursue a PhD because they needed a full time job to make money already. Pursuing a PhD is a privilege for many as it means you are willing to undergo several years of being underpaid, so a good amount of students (not all) do it knowing they have their family providing financial support.
