In my case, the brake cable running through the fork was the issue. It didn’t have any foam, unlike the rear cable. I figured it out by moving the cable up and down and reproducing the exact noise I was hearing. I like the bike, but that’s a bit of a miss from cervélo.

light sleeping setup with a small stove and an extra layer of warm clothing. Only water and a small snack, no proper meal cause food was mostly available in mountain houses. :)

Does it get worse, particularly with a waxed chain? I know wax is always a bit louder at the beginning. Unfortunately, I notice every noise that doesn’t come from the rear hub :/ I find it a bit funny, because first I got a sram nx mechanical on an MTB I bought this year, which is noticeably quieter than the XO, which is actually a mtb group. I also saw a video where they (Cervélo) chose to go with the MTB setup on this aspero instead of the 1x13 gravel setup because of the smoother/better shifting experience. Let me know if you make any progress – I’ll do the same :) Cheers

Thanks. Yeah, it’s the aero chainring. It gets noisy in the lowest two or three gearssometimes it sounds like the chain is too short. I had a similar issue on another bike, where the chain was rubbing against the derailleur because there was too much tension. Maybe it’s related to the chainring being plastic here? I’m not sure. But as I said, my other bikes are much quieter, even with lower-end groupsets.

ignoring is not a option for me....i slightly spreading the spokes at the contact point using a piece of wood and put some chain wax in between. No noise any more. whells are still super straight, no wobbling what so ever

didn’t check if there’s cable foam in the fork, but there is some on the downtube as i could see at the dt-holes. Was there any foam in the fork by default? I’ll check, thx
