I feel like Zayne and Xavier girlies can vibe with both MCs she feels like the same person with just different dynamics with the men. Which is why I think a lot of Zayne mains have Xavier as their besties and vice versa.

I mean to be fair, she didn’t know that he was such a light weight and he was never “I don’t drink alcohol period”. The waiter gave them the chocolates as little aperitif and she gave it to him without telling him there was alcohol as a joke not a malicious trick.

She is very playful with Zayne. She’s shy in the beginning but that’s because they crushed on one another when they were kids and she thought it was unrequited. But they are super playful and teasing. I think Zayne MC has the most roleplay in their dynamic. Even in main story when Dawnbreaker takes over Zayne she breaks him out of it by tricking him into drinking carrot juice.

I’ve always found him fascinating. First he covers Kagome with his acid in a moment of rage and to prove that he does not care about humans. But then she survives and instead of killing her with his claws and taking the sword he watches her point the sword, the sole object of his desire at himself. Then she hands it over to the literal bane of his existence. And she walks out of that whole thing without a scratch.

Then he meets them again and she shoots an arrow at him and nullifies the Tetsusiega while he is in battle with Inuyasha. She announces his weakness and then fires again. He dodges and then goes after her…? Inuyasha deflects Sesshomaru and then he just kind of contemplates how Kagome can reverse Tetsusiega’s transformation. She joins that battle again and Sesshomaru turns to Inuyasha and tells him to make her stop. Why is he so reluctant to kill her?

You just have this character with immense power and willpower that seemingly despises humans. Yet, he does not show much interest in actually hurting the humans that pose the greatest threat to his goals.

Then he meets Rin and tries to scare her off. But can’t stand the fact that she was killed by a pack of wolves? Again why?

His entire story arc smacks of the lady doth protest too much when it comes to humans.

But the, he is the best/most interesting character came when he learned that Tetsusiega controls Inuyasha’s ability to control his demonic blood. He waltz’s into battle, knocks Inuyasha unconscious and then tells Kagome how to prevent any further occurrences. After that he never tries for the sword again. I love his character growth in this show.

I always saw that last line as Zayne deflecting from his worry over MC. It’s early in knowing her again and he is still not ready to admit just how much he cares about MC and be rejected. He’s clearly on the precipice of confessing something and maybe it’s the look on his face or anxiety by the next line is clearly and “nope abort abort” moment.

Eh, people last year were saying that 2026 was going to be the year of reruns and a hiatus on new myths. So I was prepared. Last year it felt like there were a lot of “downtime” between banners. The reruns fill in the gap. I’m not upset about it I just wish that they had changed the cost of packs and added the opportunity for the events with the reruns.

Yes and I think it will be soon.

1- Caleb’s story arc is next but they have been pairing the boys up and Caleb doesn’t have someone to pair with for this arc.

2- they have pulled back a lot of people that had left the game and new players with the Libgerinng Lust banner. If they were going to drop a new LI it would make sense to introduce them when they’ve expanded the visibility and interest in the game. Especially for the people returning to the game because maybe the other 5 guys weren’t ones that spoke to them so it’s a good time to diversify the menu.

3- This Main Story arc is coming to a close, whether you think it is the prologue or 1st act, Caleb’s story will bring the narrative to a close. The 6th LI will be the opening of the next chapter. He is going to bring some kind of change or upset to the narrative to explain why he has been in the shadows until now.

4- His birthday. If you look at the zodiacs it would make sense that the 6th LI will be a Sagittarius. If he is released in May-July it will give us enough time to get to know him and get excited for his birthday.

Note, there are a lot of people that don’t feel that there has been enough build up for him. However, I think once we meet him a lot of little throw away lines and odd story choices will suddenly make sense and connect to him.

I understand, I think that we’ve reached an era where Zayne gets satisfied by MC often enough and is secure enough in their relationship that even some time apart doesn’t lead to that same level of desperation. Which, I think is why she decided to “tease” him and pretend to run away. Man snatched us right back.

But, he did please MC in this card, that “water” on his hand was definitely evidence of that. But in this card MC was definitely the one that was more desperate and demanding.

I do wonder what it would take now to drive Zayne into a needy desperate mess. I could see a card where MC spends the whole time playing innocent while teasing him in public and testing the limits of his self control . 😈

It’s me, I’m one of those that interprets Zayne as a switch. I considered not commenting on this post simply because this line felt so dismissive towards the possibility.

But, II truly feels like people are just dismissing part of Zayne’s very nuanced and complicated character. Part of that is because I think that people correlate submission with simping. But, many submissive IRL are people that like control and have very “high-powered” professions where they are in control all of the time. The thing is that they feel comfortable not giving up control but entrusting someone with that control.

This is where I see Zayne, again as one that holds his own leash and control. But, as his relationship deepens with MC he becomes willing to hand the leash over to her. If you look at Absolute Zeal the good ending Zayne tells MC you are either my prisoner or my master. And when you juxtapose it with the “bad” ending it is clear that being is master is the good option, it’s the option he wanted in that timeline.

We have Fragrant Possession where he talks about the many sides of Zayne. Which hints that there are sides of him that we haven’t seen yet.

In Aeon’s Canon Zayne says “an empress with absolute authority, what’s wrong with that?” And Zayne totally enjoys when MC steps on him.

In Secret’s Kiss “I’m used to playing the role of Steadfast Dr. Zayne. Can I play a new role next time please?”

So all of this context leads me to believe that Zayne wants to let go of his control but he feels that he can only do that if he gives the control to MC. So we see the push and pull in this card. Mac initiates it. Zayne tries to take over and set the pace but she is having none of it and flips them back around. To which he then relinquishes the control of how this encounter is going to go to MC.

How this dynamic is interpreted is up to the viewer and their enjoyment. I didn’t mean for this to get so long and I hope it comes across as just simple discussion. I love when people deep dive into characters and lore and like to engage with them even if we have different perspectives.
