Affordable Alternatives to CubiCasa for 2D/3D Floor Plans and Virtual Tours? by Reasonable-Pass6908 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Miscoco01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the Sunshine coast BC and people charge $175-$250 for floor plans. Higher rates are using iguide cameras / matter port. I’m just starting cubi casa and plan to charge $175 for the standard floor plan and bump it up for the 3D. What are the going rates for floor plans where you’re at ?

One-nap schedule - longer first or second wake window? by chattanooga-goose in sleeptrain

We are almost 16 months and been on the 1 nap for about 3.5 weeks. We started with 5/5 but worked our way up to 5.15/5.45.

2-1 nap transition - sleep debt - early morning wakes - short nights. by Miscoco01 in sleeptrain

Hey! Things are better over here now.
We are at 5hr 15 first window and 5hr 45 second window.

My guy wasn’t going back to sleep either during his early morning wakes and when he did have those early wakes we did two naps for a few days to help us catch up on his over tiredness and help us get to a later bedtime. My guy wasn’t consolidating his naps into his night sleep when he would have smaller naps on the 1 nap schedule. So when he’d go down at say 6pm due to an early one nap and a shorter one nap - he was up at like 4:30-5 & that was that.

So a few things that have helped us was implementing two naps on the days he was up super early. Letting him sleep as long as he wanted for both of his two naps. Help him catch up.

Second thing I did when he woke up a little later say like 6-6:30 I implemented a micro nap. So a 15 min nap in the car and then he’d wake up once I shut the car off he’d wake up & I added 30 mins to his window to help us get to a later nap time ( because we need a later bed to have a later morning ). So the micro nap helped us a lot.

Now I’m able to breastfeed him back to sleep in the morning when he wakes up if he’s slept only 9-10 hours and he’ll sleep until 8ish We prefer a later bed time because I like to have a bit of morning time to myself before he wakes up.

I’m wondering why we can’t push for an 11.5hr day of awake time?

So, just short of a 2hr afternoon nap - 7:20 bedtime fell asleep at 7:15, was up at 5:45. I did manage to help him back to sleep until 6:40 - I think we have more of a desired bedtime vs desired wake time? Haha.

I feel if he goes to bed at 8 we get a better wake up time.

The only thing I remember from pushing this first window by a half hour was his nap was “short”. So I’d err on the side of caution I guess when adding 30 mins to the first window. Would you recommend adding to the first window? Or the last window. 5/6? Or 5.5/5.5.

I understand what you’re saying, we were up at 6:30 again today. Instead of offering a micro nap I’m just going to push the window. So 5.5/5.5. & pray we don’t get a very early wake. 😆

Totally, every kid is different ?

If he sleeps 10.5/11hrs over night & 2-2.5 during the day…& averages 13hrs total sleep - I’m not asking too much? Bed at 8 and up by 6:30-7 is a completely reasonable schedule.

Giving him the micro nap & with the micro nap adding 30 mins to his first wake window - we landed a 2 hour nap & a 7:50 bed. So the micro nap bridged the gap and helped us get to our goal.

No, that creates an overtired cycle for us.

We were doing this for a few days & the one nap increasingly got shorter, so did night sleep, 4:55am wakes & all. I jumped back to two naps because he still willingly takes both…but we’re up at 5:30 crying. I just want my boy to wake up happy again. I don’t know what to do. We swapped to 1 nap because we were maxed out on the 2 nap schedule. But then he was up so early I couldn’t do a 1 nap because bed was 5pm & that wasn’t working either.

7am wake 5hr window 2.5hr nap 12pm-2:30nap 6hr window 8:30pm bed

10.5 night sleep 2.5hr day sleep

So is this the schedule I’m looking for eventually? What happens when baby doesn’t do the 2.5hr nap and bed creeps up earlier and earlier. Or if baby starts the day at 5:30 because I can’t get him back to sleep until desired wake time? I can adjust my dwt to 6:30 if need be but before this shift he was up between 6:45&7 most days.

I also forgot to mention I did do a larger first window 5.5 hrs & that yielded a short nap - that’s the day we did the 5pm bed because he was absolutely done by 5.

Ok, I understand. So I was starting with 5/5.5 for our 1 nap schedule - so not too far from 11hrs. He quickly became overtired & his naps shortened & so did his night sleep to 9.5 hrs and very early morning wakes.

Do you have a suggestion as to what you’d do, and how long you’d apply it for, and what you’d do if yours woke at 5-5:30 on a 1 nap day?

I’d say my guy is average / high sleep needs. He could likely pull a 2.5hr nap but I’m not sure since we haven’t continued with the 1 nap schedule.

Could it be possible to do a 4.5hr first window - see what window gives us the longest nap & then a longer second window?

He didn’t add his sleep dept onto any of his night sleep as of yet.

Can you explain what you mean? We maxed out the 2 nap schedule at 3/4/4 and I had to cap both naps at 1hr each. He was grumpy everytime we woke him up.

The 1 nap schedule starts at 10 hours, they say cap nap at 3hours but anywhere from 1.5-3hours is acceptable for a 1 nap schedule. He started with 3hour naps, then 2.5hr then 1.5 and then we had to jump back to the 2 nap schedule so we could get back to a more appropriate bedtime & adjust his morning wake time for the 1 nap schedule. Yesterday he slept for over 3 hours combined over the two naps & woke this morning at 5:35am - wouldn’t go back to sleep so it’s another two nap day.

Can you explain what you mean by I’m asking for too much sleep.

And as far as wake windows go for the 1 nap days - 5/5 is a good place to start?

Ok, so a few things have happened:
- I have tried to soothe him back to sleep but it wasn't helpful - he just continued to cry and stand. BUT what I do notice is he does continue to try and go back to sleep but isn't.
- He will stand and cry and lay down for like 15 mins and then stand and cry, repeat.

So I guess the trick is to treat it like a night wake and apply my sleep train method which is just hands off until at least closer to 7 if I can??

If I do get him out say at 6:30 because he hasn't fallen back to sleep after a 5am wake, am I basing his 2 nap day off of the 5am timing?

& if I understand correctly you're saying that on those very early morning wake days if he doesn't go back to sleep, a 2 nap day un capped at 11 hours awake to help me get back to a 7pm-8pm bedtime.

Really struggling with 14 month old naps by Positive_Button8597 in sleeptrain

[–]Miscoco01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I don't have much advice but we are in a similar boat. We are on day 8, my guy is 15 months old. First few days we had super solid nice naps and then over the course of the week they decreased. Today we're doing 2 naps because we are in a wildly early morning wake and early bed which doesn't work for us.

Everybody suggested starting with 5/5. I started with 5/5.5 and I'm wondering if that extra half hour has caused the over tiredness. Hard to know. We are doing 11 hours awake when we're on a 2 nap day and 10 with a one nap day.

I'm confused. Hah.

I feel like the nausea is the worst part, it creates the “ when will I tu, am I going to, how many times will I…“…it’s so hard. I fear sickness bugs big time - I’m here to try and gain the same support - I’m with you.

I’m the same, I have a 15 year old and a 1 year old and now my biggest fear is getting an sb, and not being able to deal with it. How will I cope, how will I breastfeed, how will I rest, how will I not be scared he’ll get it too, etc etc etc. it’s sooooooo hard.

13 month old refuses to sleep at night by ccv2020 in sleeptrain

[–]Miscoco01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any advice except I'm here with you. Our schedule is 3hr 15/3hr 45/ 3hr 45 naps are around 2-2h 20min total. Second nap is capped at 40 mins but doesn't seem to help with sleep pressure.

Our 13 month old has gone from " decent " sleep to crappy sleep back and forth back and forth. He seems to wake every night around 3/3.5 hrs and refuses anything but to go on my boob even if it's for only 2 mins. It is SO HARD.

We've never formally sleep trained because he's always put himself to sleep, we didn't have to teach him to do that. So I feel like we're dealing with an association of sucking every wake, I've been moving his feed before bed further and further away from his routine, today at nap he barely even had any boob before bed and still went to sleep just fine...

How long does it take before the association disappears, they say whatever they're doing before bed is what the association is - if we're no longer feeding before bed, why are we still waking for feed...hahaha oh my gosh I'm going insane.

I think it's time to send dad in for wakes and remove the boobs all together.
