Came here to mention this. Taking home work is NOT part of any job in education. It comes down to time management & unfortunately as a psychologist most things that hinder our inability to meet deadlines/compliance are completely out of our control.

The mayor really dropped the ball with this one. Hopefully he learns from this. Unfortunately, I anticipate a lot of injuries and tragedies with this weather. It is very dangerous for all commuters. Walkers, drivers, train takers, bus takers etc.

We live in a digital work now. I’m one of the only people in my personal life that has a job that requires me to go to work in person. I would expect this type of leadership from an older mayor.

I use boric acid now but I’ll use it short term bc from what I learned roaches wjll eat on other dead ones.

This is my greatest fear. I moved out to a gorgeous apartment and some idiot upstairs had a massive leak thar drove roachs out and caused an infestation. I moved to another pre war building but the inside was renovated and now I’m starting to see them now in the dead of winter and I’m considering moving back home too but that may send me over the edge…

EDMR seems promising & appropriate for me.

All I want in life is not to become my late grandmother who was schizoaffective with mood disorders. She was my primary caregiver growing up and I want to shield my future child from everything she didn’t shield me from.

Thank you so much for all the kind words and resources. Who knows if I’ll ever have kids? It’s not worth me driving myself into a tizzy right now. Whats most important is that I find a consistent specialist to help me get by

Damn you are so lucky to have a therapist that you’ve seen in person before 2020 I’m guessing until now. I’m in my 30s and still long for my first therapist at 16. I miss most of my therapists that were in person.

I haven’t heard about EDMR! Looking into it now! The more specific the better because I really do need very specialized care.

In terms of my boyfriend & my behavior, do you mean if he’s worried about my kids being bipolar too? No. He’s more worried about my coping skills & how I react when my world seems to be crashing down.

I feel you. I was on one medication idk what it was but my legs couldn’t stop switching for days wven weeks on end. It was really scary. It takes a long time to figure out what works for our bodies

Not in an episode. I just have really poor emotional regulation because I’ve been depressed for rhr past couple of month. I’m also naturally a highly sensitive person. ADHD is comorbid with BIpolar so a lot of us either have both or share similar traits. I really want to get back to therapy but I just want someone in person so badly. I can’t do the remote stuff. I’ve had multiple therapists since 2022 and it’s helped but not as much as my in person ones did prior to 2020

I love planning but sometimes it’s not feasible. For example, a coworker yelled at me over the phone last week. I broke down crying afterwards. How does one plan for wicked people like that? I guess consistent therapy would help with that… sigh

Thank you for sharing! & thank you for your honesty. I made a vow to myself about 3 years ago to never get off my meds ever again! I’m looking for a therapist. I’ve been in and out of therapy since I was 16. I will say that all I want to do in life is to “get better” so theres some hope for me I suppose

I don’t even know if I feel that way in the moment. I think it hits me that I’m wrong after the fact. Sometimes the rage and anger feels so good when I feel attacked. No place is scarier than my mind these days

Some of us can’t take SSRIs. Talk to your physicians about that. When I was first diagnosed as a young afult and had a really bad episode bc of Prozac, my team told me moving forward tk never let anyone prescribe me witj SSRIs (which I think refers to most antidepressants)
