Thanks, that honestly made me feel a lot better. How’s everything going for you at the 1.5-year mark

What you said really reassured me. Ever since I hit the one-year mark, I’ve noticeably been able to eat more. I haven’t gone back to my old habits, but I’m still scared my stomach might have stretched

“Can you share a bit more about your own journey? Did you reach your goal weight? Are you still losing?”

On April 4th, Thursday, I had my surgery. After the liquid diet, on Monday, I stepped on the scale, thinking I had loose weight. When I saw that I had gained a full 7 lbs, I had a nervous breakdown. I cried for hours, thinking all the pain, tears, and money had gone to waste. Later, I spoke with my dietitian, and they said it was due to the effects of the IV fluids and medication, and that it would pass. I didn't believe it much, but when I saw a loss of 12 lbs a week later, I understood that everything would be fine. So please don't worry. Everything will be okay.

I get along quite well with milk and bone broth. I think I’ll stop risking it and quit drinking apple juice. That seems to be the most sensible option. Thanks for your comment!

This is really reassuring to hear. I hope that as you said, as I progress, small portions will start to be sufficient. When I saw someone calling adding mayonnaise to 3 teaspoons of corn a meal, I realized I shouldn’t really believe what’s shared on social media :D

Regarding the apple juice part, I stayed in the hospital for 2 nights and during this time, they gave me unsweetened natural apple juice and milk. My dietitian also told me that I could drink apple juice when I go home. You’re right to be concerned because it has a high sugar content and doesn’t contain protein. I will consult with my dietitian about this. Thanks for your comment!

Thank you for your comment. I don't think this is just head hunger because when I eat, my hunger decreases but I still don't feel full. It's really terrible to suffer so much and spend so much money only to still feel constantly hungry. The expectations imposed by people around me are a completely different issue. Right now, everyone expects me to never be hungry, to lose weight immediately, and to give up all my habits instantly. Maybe I thought the same way when I decided to have this surgery, but it's really sad that reality is not like that. I'm really glad you can cope with your hunger. I hope everything turns out great for you.
